I love Seung Hyo and Seok Ryu connection. And love that their friendship is not weak or fickle. They have made mistakes, but their connection is strong enough to not let go, even through very tough times.
Well I would say this episode people were more upset at ML. And more empathetic to FL. Alot of baggage was dealt…
I think the main issue is in ignoring her messages and calls. One can't always notice changes in friends and family. But the way he went as far to ignore her was too petty.

I disagree. He literally saw her looking skinny and not well but he was so focused on her being with her boyfriend, he ignored her messages and calls of her checking up on him. That was wrong of the ML. He was so focused on romance he could not see his friend was suffering. Even. if he didn't notice why was he so petty and ignore her messages and calls. He even said in the episode that FL helped him out of a dark space but he couldn't even notice his friend was suffering.
Haven't had a chance to watch ep 10 yet. Will do so later today. Should I expect to see the same angst, same status…
Well I would say this episode people were more upset at ML. And more empathetic to FL. Alot of baggage was dealt with. But there is joy also at the end of the episode.
I think some people are expecting a different kind of story of romance.
This is not a drama where the romance is just fluffy and simple. And the two mains just simply run to each other and that's the romance.
These are people going through life and their life is complicated and messy. Going from best friends who are always been there for each other, to catching feelings to being scared of testing the waters of a romantic relationship. To making mistakes in communication. The awkwardness, the even pushing each other away. They are showing that type of journey.
Just because there is mess and baggage doesn't mean they aren't meant to be together. Relationships and love involves weathering tough times. So this idea it has to be easy cruising for a relationship to be blessed is unrealistic to me. Now especially that we are dealing with friends that were and are so supportive to each and clearly adore each other. I am still so excited to see if they can be brave enough to try a romantic relationship.
I wouldn't see him as a rebound.I think the idea of people have to have had only one person in their lives, no…
You have every right to your preference. I myself personally don't think they are together from unavoidable circumstances. Life has actually been their hindrance. They would have been together long time ago, if it wasn't for circumstances. So I think it is the opposite. People will come together no matter what if there are meant to be because those feelings will stay true, even when life happens. So I don't agree with the idea that the FL is settling. For me, personally it is too black and white thinking to look love and relationship numerical way. Because someone can easily miscalculate or not see subtle hints of someone's feelings. Out of curiosity what would have you convinced about the main leads relationship?
I wouldn't see him as a rebound.I think the idea of people have to have had only one person in their lives, no…
Just a lighthearted observation you have been waiting from even earlier on in this series for the main leads not to work out. Why is that?
Hardship and situations simply bring to light issues that were already there in a relationship.
Life is life, no one will have a smooth sailing journey. If their relationship could not last with the FL being sick doesn't mean they would have lasted without the illness. Those cracks would have eventually shown. This illness basically showed the FL that her ex is not for her, he cannot weather the storm with her. Dramas are about reading between the lines. If she really wanted to she would have fought for her ex but she didn't. No one would put effort into something her heart is not fully in. So clearly her heart is not invested in the ex anymore. The words she gave him were simply cushioning excuses. Which people do when they break up.
Just curious, how will some of you feel if we still get no confession from the FL by the end of the upcoming episode?…
I wouldn't see him as a rebound. I think the idea of people have to have had only one person in their lives, no exes, no complicated feelings or relationship journeys. I think that's unrealistic in life and too purist. If she ends up with the ML after her ex, it doesn't mean he is a rebound. It simply means she was brave enough to actually try with ML. Because she did have those feelings before. If FL really wanted to be with her ex she would have fought for it but she found it easy to let go. Where as her rejection of the ML, was more a protection tactic. Protecting someone that means too much to her. Though I did not like they way she went about it, you could see she was too scared for them to make relationship romantic because she was scared of losing him. So she rather lie about her feelings to keep him at a distance so she never loses him.
I still standby what i said. The scene where she hides from her family in a box, the scene where he gives her…
I reply to people all the time who have different opinions from me haha, so no explanation needed at all. I can't help but reply to people especially if I just have to get them to see a different perspective. Someone commenting can't expect to receive no reply because it is a comment section. So disagreements is all part of discussing. Yeah I personally don't understand when people criticize a drama for supposedly having similarities with another. Because everything is bound to have similarities. So I always find that argument kind of too nitpicking.
I still standby what i said. The scene where she hides from her family in a box, the scene where he gives her…
Exactly! Tropes are bound to happen. Especially in the romance genre. I agree, it's now about the execution and the signature in which the story is told and how the actors portray their characters. That's why one can click on the tag of best friends to lovers and find each one interesting even though they have the same trope because they will have their different signatures and vibe.

It's definitely ok to share your criticism. No one has to agree with each other, that's what actually makes discussions fun. I say we all just take these disagreements lightly. At the end of the day this is just a drama, a fictional story. The thing is the scenes might have not been literally copied, it might have just naturally occured. Romance genre dramas normally has a lot similarities with each other, but it doesn't necessarily mean they were copied. I think expecting a drama to have no similaraties with another drama, is not possible. For me I try my best to come with no expectations of a drama when I watch them. Ofcourse I still have sometimes high expectations of some dramas, haha. Of course it's easier said than done, but it makes the viewing more fun and it allows one to easily adapt to the storytelling style that is actually occuring. Of course sometimes shows just aren't one's cup of tea and that's ok, it is what it is.

So I am just wondering are you saying no on can ever do a scene where they hide in a box or scene where they give a medal to their crush? In life there is nothing that can be 100% original. Only if someone is in another level of mind, even with that they would be still influenced by different experiences, art and media they have experienced in life. Even futuristic imaginings builds itself on the past. You have a right to your opinion. But I just noticed that there are a lot viewers that get very caught up pointing out similarities with other dramas, as a way of critique. But it's absolutely normal for dramas to hold similarities. In life if one searches one will definitely find. Because of course if one searches hard enough one can possibly find similarities with every drama and movie with other dramas and movies. Especially now if we are dealing with the romance genre. Some people even seek similarities, that's why we even have the similar/recommendation for people who are looking for similar dramas/movies of the title.
So I don't see similarities as a bad thing. Because similarities doesn't always mean the writer has malicious copied. Similarities sometimes just occurs naturally.

My heart was acheing. ðŸ˜
I can't even articulate the emotion.

The scenes I was talking about are timestamp 3:44 and 5:19 🙂
