i definitely think this is more than just that since these two, esp hirukawa have internalized homophobia to overcome (as seen in this and last week's ep) and they both have to come to terms with their sexuality which wouldn't be a thing between heterosexual couples, thus minase in the ep 5 preview saying "are we homosexuals?".
I'm excited about the next episode because I've personally never watched a JBL where a main character explicitly uses the word "homosexual" to describe himself so I'm curious how they'll tackle the topic!! I think it's a great step forward in Japanese society to do this when a lot of viewers aren't a part of the community!

(if you check the trading cards in the official merch, you can see the moments right before the upcoming kiss scenes altho its blurry) I would totally enjoy the show even without them but knowing the kiss scenes exist, I'm really excited to watch them 🤭 yes all of them are idols!!
