Why tf do we keep casting Dilraba opposite literally ANY male lead??????? She is lousy. Terrible. She is worse then Yang Mi in my book, and that’s saying something. Damn it. These bad pairing ruin everything. Can we stop? Known, highly publicized faces do not equate to talent. Goddamn. I’m a giant fan of xianxia and wuxia but this crappy habit of casting widely known faces often means we end up with sub par performances. Cast people with actual acting talent please.
I just finished this and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even the romance. I, like many of the other reviewer, prefer my revenge stories to be about a strong woman determined to right the scales of justice. And I disdain extraneous romance. But a romance angle isn’t in and of itself a bad thing. I recognize that there are a multitude of ways to advance a plot a many paths to redemption.
For me, had show forgone the romance in this story it would have been a massive miss. The leads have so much chemistry it overflows the room. Literally. It’s crazy how palpable it is. Also, their backstory, particularly Kiichi’s remorse and instinct to protect are the very definition of romance. He feels so deeply that he is ready to risk it all.
I really like this show. In fact…I’d like to see more like this.
I really appreciate that these cdramas, especially the xianxia, be letting us know in the first 10 secs of the intro that they are about to epically rock our world.
I LOVED it. Perfect ending tho I’m so sad for the the Zhou family .
Great story. Very little drag. Magnificent acting especially by my beloved Liu Xue Yi who I will be continuing to fantasize about every night when I go to bed. 💋😘
I do not thank Liu Xue Yi for making me question my own bottom line while watching him in this role. Even in ep 38, at his irredeemable worst, sneering as he suppresses his enemies….even then….even then I can’t help but find the man intoxicatingly beautiful 🙄

Y’all know what I mean.
I’d like to thank them.

Such outstanding acting in this last ep.

I’ve become a cliche over this dude.
So provocative.
