I might be biased because I am huge lover of Japanese found family genre. Honestly this is a heavy watch and right so. I think everything that happened happens to people and honestly it was sad and I like it. I wish it made me feel better as the world is burning but it was realistic to a point. I think it was great especially the reality of the language barrier.

Actually they confessed. I don't tell random people I love them. It happened twice when Johan pushed Ryu away then after the I love you's. Also they didnt make it clear because of what happened with Arata so Johan thought it was best his actions showed his love. Lets remember these are people from Asian countries were saying I love you is a big deal. Our characters do have a western broaden mindset but we need to view it through their lenses.

I dont know if this is a thing but in J-drama's the confessor most times apologizes when they get rejected because they believe telling someone you like them without being 100% sure is a burden to the confessed.

My main critique is that Arata never saw him with Johan and flip out. I was expecting that scene at the funeral like where were the hockey guys.

my major critique is that Arata didnt die. He should have been dead.

oh my gosh this story was amazing and alot of people called it queer and I dont think so first its like a coming of age story but more of terms of coming to terms with your feelings and yourself. I loved the hug and I love you was enough. Everytime I saw them take care of each other I kept saying this is what love looks like.

I was rooting for him but I thought he won second place?
Yeah he did. He never got first. Honestly I thought he was a better match for the ML. There was a time I thought ML would tell Tea min he liked Yu Bin because it looked like it.

I rewatched this show even though I gave it a 10. after rewatchibg I realized how Si-eun, Su-ho had low EQ toward O beom seok and also O beom seok was also petty to be honest he should have left them. Think about it Su-ho loved the fact he was the strongest and loved the savior complex. How can your friend not be strong and be able to defend themselves you aren't around them 24/7? How can you not teach him how to protect himself? Si-eun knew that O beom Seok puts himself in danger for them and didnt tell Su-ho after he was injured O beom Seok tried to save you. His efforts went unnoticed to be honest he should have disconnected from them once he was able to pay people to protect him which he did but Su-ho had to hit him to the floor at least for trying to save him with money he could have at least whispered in his that "why are you doing? Its wrong and you should know to be kinder to other people". instead he hit him

also god forbid a gay man to have feelings toward another man at the very first sight i guess. idk why you so…
To each their own. I think the issue here is that we are looking at two different things. You are focused on the actors and their chemistry, while I am looking at the screenwriting and character logic. My point is simply that these actors are capable of so much more than a 'High School' template script. I want to see them in a 'BL Mindhunter' where their talent is matched by a complex, professional plot like what Sammon did with Spare Me Your Mercy. This will be my last reply on this matter, but I hope you enjoy the rest of the show!"

You mentioned Jade follows Kamin because of 'Thai hierarchy,' but then you also say it's 'love at first sight.' Which is it? Sammon a Thai script writer is an example of what I am trying to stress. Sammon did (Spare me your mercy) its also a BL Inspector Tew is a brilliant, active protagonist. He doesn't just follow Dr. Kan around; he investigates him. Their bond is built on professional tension and moral conflict,By making Jade’s entire existence revolve around Kamin from Episode 1, the script turns him into a Camera POV instead of a character. It’s sad because these actors have the talent to play a complex partnership, but the writing is stuck in a 'High School' template where a crush is the only thing that drives the plot. I will say it again I have nothing against BL I watch alot of it. We have the freedom to make a 'BL Mindhunter,' so why are we settling for this. Also it can't be both hierarchy and love at first sight because we don't get an internal conflict from Jade at all its really unfair to the actors.

Do you know this is adapted from a novel? They really carried over more than 60% of the novel into the series.…
In storytelling this is with respect to the screenwriter there is showing and telling. Telling takes away the experience from the audience which is why I talked about certain parts of episode 1. The fact that there are ways to combat these dialogues/scenes and make them more natural so as to give the novel a better homage.

Again I think you still aren't getting it. Its not the C bromance I am talking about its the way its setup and written. We don't get the whole build up that C drama or K dramas give us. I used C drama as a reference to the storyline. Again this was to compare different types of writing and how just throwing the "I like you" right into everyone's face doesn't give us the viewers the opportunity to grow with the characters.

First of all, I like the show a lot. Why the storyline always has to be the same. Slow burn is part of 90% of…
So you like this type of writing? Well, I don't. I like the actors and wish they had a better script. I guess to each their own. I didn't only say Chinese; I also said Korean screenwriters. It would be great to have a build-up instead of just getting the whole love plot thrown right off the bat.

i'm not watching any censorsh¡t anymore tho
I am not saying it should be censored. I just said there is no build up in this story. I only just referenced C-drama's because they are censored but if they weren't they would be peak.

So I want to say this But to be put on Netflix I expected better. The actors are not to be blamed but it seems like GGMTV needs to hire Chinese or Korean screen writers. I mean showing Jade's feelings is a bit too early now I have nothing to look forward to. Why is Jade accepting his new inspector and following him around I mean the screen writers make it look like one second he wants to prove he deserves that spot at the same time he wants to be a subordinate. We aren't given the you came into my territory storyline that then breaks down Jade's walls and then.....(You can be smitten by someone in regrads to their meeting but also work is work). Also the guy who said "do you know yourselves" that line was weird when Jade only saw the new inspector's back. The commander said nothing to Jade like he isn't a good performing cop. Writers pose him(Jade) like a great performing cop but still he is viewed as a small fry. Even small fries attract attention. What I am saying in total is that GGMTV is too focused on the on screen couple that the storyline is always put on the back burner every single person on that show deserve more screen time and to be part of the bigger plot its too couple focused instead of building us up to meet the couple they just hand it to us in episode 1. love the actors but I am skipping this expected better. Watch other Chinese Bromance the mystery is the main plot their personal life come second if not for censorship we would get the whole story which is what is only missing in C mystery dramas.
