Ahh I was hoping for slow burn but well it is like love at first sight which I don't like. And the whole fate…
It wasn't love at first sight for either of them. It more of like curiosity.

From what I saw in the first ep he doesn't understand why the men in this village think of highly of the FL so he wants to know what so special about her.

The romantic arc comes from the future cause they narrate what happens in the past. may be that why we feel such intensity.
