There's an epilogue. Someone here replied to my comment down there with the translation. After she dies he carries her away. He's bonded with her (twilight movies type) and they are never seen again. He is a beast (inter species) changes into a wolf. We don't get to see any of it. The Chinese gov censored the show so all super natural was removed. We know he had premonitions and healed easily so for me I'm going with my imagination. He prepared for the event, healed her and they lived together in peace. <3
