In this case there were plenty of signs. Also the fact he went out alone at night in the first place is high risk.
Death of a loved one like this is pain forever. I have no idea how this plays out. I’m begging for a time skip now so we can see in a brief narration or flash backs how the remaining characters lead their lives to cope for a year or two before starting again. Or if it’s written they are a true family now and stay together in sickness and in health regardless. No separation.

I think the scene where CY is trying to tell QL that his brother soul has been sent out and his body is one with nature. That at least his brother left a clean shoe. To say that it could mean a knife was used and the splatter did not hit the shoe. I don’t know but the tspout ct photo from CY to his brother shows a man made madder up a tree. Not sure if that was from a different scene or something WT made for his end. Idk If it wasn’t suicide he could have tactfully said “ it seems like an accident and nature took him” something. But CY makes it seem there was no way to bring him back. Maybe we hear more later It’s possible QT, going in and out of deep psychosis, just trotted off to whatever he set up to end his life. Then nature took him from there and that is why CY couldn’t make heads or tails of the scene but knows what he saw (maybe saw a device) and the remnants. From start to their finish where they ended up together. The end is the doc and patient in the last scene as a couple reading about the actors book playing their roles. Is that right? Thank you!
I’m here doing a quickie off clips only. If what happened happened (gone on purpose) then this could be a long time planned event. He may switch back and forth into depression.
