I have seen so many shows, dramas and movies that just throw sex scenes on your face for nothing it's not even relevant in the story or anything but people don't have any problem there, But here the show is literally just trying to show the exploitation of the women in the industry back in 80's. It is definitely not out of place here.

The first episode didn't make any sense at all, but it definitely got very interesting from ep 2 onwards, all the actors did amazing too. Plus I'm not really sure if it draws inspiration from real life events but I think it definitely reflects the 80's in the showbiz industry. Even these days people tend to think that this industry is dirty and corrupt to its core, it would've been so much more worse back then with little to no exposure and no one to rely on for newcomer actresses. The president character you see most of people are like that these days putting on harmless and innocent front but scheming the worst you could imagine.
