this drama's getup to storyline is all far more highbeat that pob, because in pob main focus is just love between leads and a little politics, but here from revenge to love to stellar politics and betrayals, everything is there. and they ga so much development to each and every character in the show!!
you are right... they complain that a room com is too bland and predictable, yet can't take the weight of a mystery or fantasy thriller saying they are too heavy... like really!
I didn't expect anything to be better than Prisoner of beauty and legend of the female general this year... but here it is, competing hard to be best of this year ❤️

xianxia is with magic and gods and immortal stuffs... wuxia is martial arts based genre. I know that. And if you say there is no romance in wuxia, I beg to differ. From Long ballad to very recent Legend of the Female general and Prisoner of Beauty...even dramas like General's lady and Dr. Cutie, I think they show wuxia with romances. I think this drama has reference of magic and stuff (I may be wrong though, please correct me if so).
s an adult you might understand deeper, the themes of karma from past life and afterbirth. and it is a visual treat anyways
