Also, there are few other Supernatural Thai dramas where male and female lead works together to solve mystery/crisis and interactions are positive and have no shaking, slapping or shouting.

Nupuk/Phumkhaobin as expected, is turning out to be an annoying SML. The FL too - her resistance and scorn towards…
She is better than male lead in another drama with similar scenario who treats female lead very bad because of a curse, his hate for her in each lifetime turns very scary, compared to that female lead during her other life was not very hard on Anantachai.

I have no issue with the cast, but sadly female lead character is irritating but 100 times better than male lead character in another drama who due to curse in all his reincarnation treats female lead badly who for 1000 years have been trying to save him from curse, it's hard to watch such dramas that do that till last episode.
Compared to that, I saw a Thai drama with magic scenario, from first episode till last episode male and female lead are always together each episode was 1.5 hours long, and they never separated, there were a lot of interactions between them, and they don't end up in shaking and slapping or cursing. From the first episode I was worried the show will turn bad, but somehow they managed to keep it entertaining, male lead tries to make female lead forget him with magic, but this still cause her to stick to him more than before, so things like that were different, story never separated them, but there was conflict etc, also some characters in show were good, they didn't follow usual tropes with these characters instead of causing trouble to leads or other characters they ended up supporting or as good friends.
Karma thing is always hard on good guys and easy on bad guys till last episode in most Thai dramas.
So far this drama was entertaining, but I am worried how this will fare will they drag and follow usual tropes.

From an article
A Hindu Past
Whilst Thailand is a country where 95% of its population are Buddhists, this wasn’t always the case. Thailand’s past — before it was even known as Thailand — was punctuated by a series of different ruling kingdoms, but in its earliest days, it was ruled by the powerful Khmer Empire. This empire, now modern-day Cambodia, followed Hinduism, and as a result, the religion spread to places under its control, including Thailand.

As the Khmer Empire ruled over modern-day Thailand, its Hindu ways and practices began to shape the land and the culture. Hinduism’s roots in the foundation of Thailand are evident all over the country. For example, Thailand’s former capital of Ayutthaya was named after Ayodhya, the birthplace of the Hindu god Rama, whilst the Phanom Rung temple in Isaan, built in the Khmer style, was dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and made to represent the sacred site of Mount Kailash. Even Thailand’s national epic, Ramakien, was derived from the Hindu epic Ramayana.

I don't think this drama has been subbed. This is the remake version and it is not as popular as the prior version.…
2018 drama version has subs

Yeah they have tweaked the ending of the drama in comparison to Martial Master. But still I think this is one…
Yes, that would be great.

You must be high this show was far from the best💀 at most it was sub par
I agree, the main reason I watch dramas/films or read books etc is because I love stories, but I feel despite it being a low budget project the supporting cast was putting a lot of effort it was evident in few episodes.
I think the cast did well, most of the supporting casts etc did well, I have not seen other dramas/film of male lead so don't know if he is a good actor or not or just acted that character personality but still he did well and female lead was not bad as well.

That's what I do, drop shows that I find hard to watch.
Sad part is they remove best parts of novels/donghuas and add similar tropes found in the genre and include popular casts plus high budget.
Most of this shows(wuxia/xianxia) get good ratings because of the casts plus their good acting big production value etc, not because of the story, but I won't say all dramas are like that, but it's hard to find a drama that have done justice to the original story(wuxia/xianxia genre with fantasy settings).
I am looking forward to watching The Demon Hunter's Romance, liked the trailer, hoping it will be a great watch.
I got to watch a drama Face to fate despite being old, enjoyed watching the show, the show had a story to tell it told it and used all the episodes well to tell it instead of dragging the story with common tropes used in many dramas that make it hard to watch as story progress.

Yes, it's not surprising there are so many novels and donghuas based on it, plus and with fan fiction one will end up with similarities in different stories.
At least the donghua is still airing, I have seen many donghuas that never got another season compared to that, at least this is good.
This is the second drama after Blood of youth in youku I watched while it was airing and finished it.

Yes, which is a rarity I was surprised, but last few episodes they made changes maybe they don't plan to do another season.

so is there any romance in this drama?
Sun wukong stories all have something in common, female characters sacrifice their lives. In one drama, monkey gets the girl but the twist it's sort of fake monkey, the true one goes with the monk. Wukong travels though time so some of this things get changed like in one story the bull demon's wife falls in love with wu kong.

Do I need to watch the first season ?! I dropped the first one after 3rd episode as I didn't enjoy it.
The show is not bad, it might feel like slow and very depressing, but it was interesting as story progressed, I paused watching it when it aired but resumed few months ago and finished it and I liked it, watching season 1 first get to know more about the sibling rivalry.

Only Chinese media do this kind of things. What a disaster! Announcing a date and then postponing it, not very…
Maybe Censoring issue, still better than few episodes airing and then going down, I have seen two such shows one in IQIYI another in Yoku.
