Title Step by Step
The writing, directing, editing, flow and for the most part, acting in this drama are just terrible. I honestly find myself astounded that there are three writers on this drama. Their writing is beyond infantile and lacks substance and depth, let alone realism.

It started out as an interesting concept for an office drama, but has morphed into this non-sensical, childish nonsense, with far too many unnecessary filler scenes, cliché stares (allegedly romantic) and painstakingly, cringeworthy pauses in dialogue between our two leads which make for uncomfortable viewing. To me, this is just lazy, lazy writing. I actually like the slow burn. I get it, boss and employee, so from the outset, the dynamics are off. However, I think these two are simply miscast together. Jeng is extremely mature and professional. Pat for the most part a pitiful, bratty child. A man at this juncture in life and level of seniority would simply not fall for someone like Pat. Princess levels of high maintenance spring to mind, irrespective of how beautiful Pat truly is.

Pat's character in the opening episodes was positioned as someone who disliked office gossip, bitching and slagging off the boss. He found these attributes in his co-workers to be abhorrent. He was confident and forthright in his opinions and creative in his innovative thought-process around marketing. However, by episode 5, he was firmly ensconced in the office politics, gossip and bitchiness. I found this to be a wasted opportunity for his character development, because now, what we're left with, is this beyond childish adult male who can't take constructive criticism, only praise. I appreciate Ben is young and this is his first acting role, but in the workshops, they really should have focused on teaching him how to use his facial features to express his emotions and not his mouth. It makes for extremely jarring viewing, seeing his mouth constantly open, gurning, pouting or grimacing whenever he needs to show any kinds of emotions.

The whole narrative around Put is also unbelievable. Pat nearly hyperventilates when he learns he has to work with Put. We see him consciously trying to avoid being in his presence and when he is, he avoids eye contact. He actively asks him at his home "not to do this" when he comes looking for him. He calls him out at the shoot over choosing his drink. Yet, in the blink of an eye, that all changes when assisting to get rid of Kong and having dinner. WTAF was that implausible excuse for ghosting Pat? So, we were dating, in a sexual, loving relationship and "I didn't really understand my feelings for you", so decided to up and leave without saying a word. Lazy, just lazy writing and all it took was a stuffed toy to get him back. Oh please. Spare my brain! Pride and self-respect alone wouldn't allow you to return, let alone the feeling if he did it once, the likelihood is it will happen again.

Why am I still here? Simply because I honestly want to see how the writers plan on bringing Jeng and Pat together within this mess of week-after-week of tedious office dialogue and then once together, how they'll showcase the romance.

This drama will rightly go down as being one of the greatest jokes in the world of Thai BLs. Talk about a shit show of lost opportunities. It says a lot when a writer and director display zero confidence in their final episode, to the point where they need to delay it, not once, but twice.

I’m in the UK and haven’t turned my TV on in 5-years, simply because it was all about reality TV and dumbing down, something I can’t do. Asian culture fascinates me. #JustSayin’

No need to generalize all Thai dramas as being poorly written. There are plenty of quality ones out there.
Indeed there are. However, more often than not, they spectacularly fail in their writing and storytelling of the BL genre. #JustSayin’

Gosh! This is beyond dreadful. It's not even funny dreadful like Unforgotten Night. There is no script. The directing is abysmal and the acting feels like children running through lines with a teacher. Don't even get me started on the terrible chemistry between Sky and Win and that fucking dog - become mince meat already!

What a lovely start. Really looking forward to this one. Seo Han Joon's character is instantly likeable and adorable. At this point, I have no doubts in my mind that Jo Yoo Jae also has feelings for Seo Han Joon - hence why he's so obviously jealous about the strikingly beautiful Park Jin Hwan getting close to his beloved.

This series should have been called A Boss And A Babe Hug. I didn't dislike it, however, it is hardly memorable or indeed re-watchable. I agree with all the comments around the plot. Nothing was resolved, so why the hell introduce in the first place. Lazy writing me thinks, but that's Thailand for you. It's a 4/10 from me.

This is at the peek of light / fluffy / cute my brain can enjoy and endure in the world of BL. Anything else just pushes my brain into serious WTAF can't do land. Our Skyy Season 2, I'm pointing at you - just can't do that utter rubbish! Too vomit inducing for me. However, I so appreciate I'm not their target audience. That is all about fan service, irrespective of the fact I liked a few of the original dramas.

However, this drama does it for me in fluffy / cute land. Have really liked Haram from the outset. In my mind he's a boy who loves a boy and wants him. It's that simple. I've always found it seriously sexy how he's utterly focused on getting his man. Hell, I'd desire him from the outset, as Lee Jun admitted. I want to be chased. I want you to have resilience to get me. I want you to prove you're worthy of me. So, come at me with all you've got #JustSayin' #SexyAsFuck

Oooh, next week with the ex is going to be interesting. I think Haram already feels this is the ex and was emotionally intelligent enough to leave Lee Jun alone. See you next week.

OMG! This is just utterly, utterly delightful viewing, writing and narrative. Oh my heart! I absolutely loved the creativity in Yutaka telling his story through animation. How beautiful was that and so typical of Japan! You seriously rock! I never get teary over dramas, because I'm a realist and see things as they are, but this whole episode nearly brought me to tears... and don't even get me started on Tane. What a career, him and (as I understand it, his twin are going to have). Just sublime. Love it so much. I don't even care about the shit 'not-seen' kiss, it's that good. Can't wait for next week.

Gosh, they really could have used their 15 minutes a whole, whole lot wiser (think, Our Dating Sim). This episode felt like a sprint to the finish line, with no real insight into how Seung Yun managed to work through his depression and anxieties, other than to focus on his music. Really? A nod to the CEO being taken down and an idiotic line about Seung Yun wanting to make himself better especially for Jae Hyun. #Sigh

Hahaha! Love this comment: "Pat has two facial expressions - sucking lemons and smelling farts." My thoughts exactly.
