I believe that "Auspicious" jade has taken that blow. Did you remember the scene where MXY gave that jade to his friend saying that this didn't belong to her so they returned it? That jade had a huge crack covered in blood. The jade was already cracked before her death but it was even more later. So I believe, that must've taken half the blow and the stab went across such that it didn't stab the critical area.
