I don’t think the chaebol’s wife drove him into the arms of another woman. he was a womanizer and there was even a point made of how people were surprised that he only had one child out of wedlock. chaebol’s wife was so upset with all the cheating that she didn’t allow women employees near her son because she’s afraid her son will inherit his dad’s philandering ways. she was holding onto the family money because she wasn’t about to have him cheat on her repeatedly and then also take away the wealth. now, I’m not excusing her overly controlling ways and how she ended up harming ML and SML, but the chaebol in my mind is at fault in that relationship. nothing excuses cheating.

ep 10 had me all over the place 😱 😦 😔 😆😖🥺😏🥰😕😩😫😫😫😫😫why did I think I wouldn’t binge this over a weekend and now I’m stuck before it ends???!?

omg! I came to say the same. if a dude did that, ppl would be up in arms. if any antagonist played that trick, ppl would be screaming at their screens. Why do they make it where the woman still has to play a trick to get an upper hand? they even end up essentially showing it’s her beauty that gets her a win. The man ofc is always there to either be obsessive, jealous type or the bend over backwards for FL while she shows some interest and care - even that caring is technically beneficial to her in this drama since in the earlier ep, if he could score the deal with Weiji, then he would have a higher position + they can be out in the open. idk. I really like this drama and how mature OTP behaved and how well they communicated, so these things stuck out at me and annoyed me to no end at the finish line of the drama.
