Through a purple door - riding on a floating whale

My favorite poster is the one of the ML and FL staring at each other and the magnificent golden wings wrapping…
Omgeeee!! It’s changed to what you said. Definitely 100% better. So sweet =)

Aside from my little grievances below, this was quite the surprise. It was a nice balance of fluff while still maintaining a storyline. The plot holes were not glaring and the writer tried to wrap it at a good pace.

ML’s acting really stood out as I think he is fairly new on the scene. Fireworks scene toward the end exploded my heart to pieces for him. Oh and when he meets ...for the first time in ep.23. Gah. The feels. I also liked the character and actress for He Ruo Yao.

Romance was there all throughout but don’t expect in your face romance with super kissy scenes. The chemistry was good. I would recommend it.

Title I've Fallen for You Spoiler
How does she not seem conflicted at all by the Young Lord’s request for her to go with him? She briefly mentions…
Also, how does she never look sad when she’s separated from ML? When she was at the Bai after leaving ML with crazy childhood crush, she was prancing about and now she’s about to go away with Young Lord and she’s happily chatting about food and being her usual ditzy self. Suddenly really having a hard time connecting with FL.

Title I've Fallen for You Spoiler
This was cute, fluffy...I was really enjoying it...and then ep. 18 happened and I was left scratching my head...
How does she not seem conflicted at all by the Young Lord’s request for her to go with him? She briefly mentions that the Zhou house may be brought down by the Lord but I would have liked to see a little more conflicting emotions. She easily gave up on their relationship when ML’s past lover came back and she is doing the same again. I hope we see more fight in her for the relationship like ML has shown.

I like the 90s poster look, it was what me made want to watch it, although I did see fantasy genre and held it…
Yeah. That’s one thing I don’t have a problem with. I will binge any genre. Lol

Whoever designed this poster needs to be fired. I came across this drama before and passed on it because the poster looked like it was from the 90s and it didn’t spark any interest. I know, I know. Don’t judge a book by its cover. I’m glad I saw the reviews here though and now I am watching this.

Ok. Ep. 22 straight pissed me off. FL is a dumbass. Why do they make FLs so dim?
OMGeee!!! I thought we learned our lesson in the last ep., but noooooo! WTF?! FL why did you ruin this drama?!? Writer, did you really run out of the smart and romantic material you started with?? Why the personality change for the daring, go-getter FL? How does she not understand what’s going on?!?

Title Dating in the Kitchen Spoiler
Ok. Ep. 22 straight pissed me off. FL is a dumbass. Why do they make FLs so dim?
There was absolutely no reason for her to start hanging out with the bro when ML specifically requested her not to and she saw the hurtful relationship they have. Then she lies when bro is at her house. Then she runs over to protect bro asks why ML is acting like that. C’mon, FL. Any woman would run to her man. Even if he hits someone, you run to them to stop them and give them a piece of your mind. Ugh. Even if your SO trusts you, he can justifiably be pissed at the other party.

Fluffy romance that doesn’t take itself too seriously and misunderstandings are resolved within the episode or the beginning of the next. The characters are all adorable. Nice, chill drama with a cute couple with god chemistry. I love Daddi Tang in this after being mostly annoyed with him in PYHOMS. I can’t wait for his drama as ML!

He look on point in Way Back Into Live and I enjoyed his acting. His look and character are such a step up from PYHOMS. I hope to see him in many more lead roles!

What is the subbed episode release schedule for this drama? Trying to figure out when it will finish. Hard time watching dramas that haven’t finished. LOL

He didn't betray anyone, he died to protect his sister
I didn’t suggest he betrayed anyone. I called him loyal.

Finished this and I have to say their way of handling the two Mo Lian Chengs/Xiao Tans did not convince me. First…
I’m sure you meant this, but future MLC on slept in the same bed as FL (“sleeping with him” implies intercourse in my mind). When he forced the kiss, it wasn’t that he was not being a gentleman unlike this past version, but that he sees her as his wife and the woman he has so much history with. At that moment, he was desperate because she was upset and leaving him when he had been searching for her for almost a year in the present world. Definitely not cool to force kisses, but I get his state of mind.

I just started watching though so I’m quite anxious how they’ll treat the two MLC. When do they “merge?” When does FL realize there are 2 of them?

He really cares for his brother tho, always tries to help when he can.
Yeah. You can see him hesitating and trying to find a middle ground. I’m just surprised he never found it odd that his uncle was always all up in his business.hehe

Title Maiden Holmes Spoiler
This part didn't annoy me at all, it makes sense and it also passes by really quickly as if nothing happened.…
It wasn’t ML’s voice, it was Xiumen’s voice. She said she has not been able to forget that voice and it replayed in her head but she has heard Xiamen speak before so why all of a sudden. Also, I like that they showed her as a cool, collected detective. While I understand she has been living a tough life and her goal is to find the man behind it all, there are plot holes to how she went berserk. (1) she always gathers all the evidence - they showed this multiple times and she had one circumstantial evidence and didn’t even verify whether the man she supposedly loves gave those order as Xiumen COULD have possibly been a traitor following someone else. (2) She doesn’t simply want to kill the evil doer since she wants to let the truth be known to clear her clan’s name. If she killed him, there would be no way to clear the clan. This can even be seen at the end when she upset when someone goes all crazy to kill the perpetrator and she says she’s been building a case and implies his action was not the way to do it.

LOL. Sorry for the long reply. I was just really liking the drama and sad the writer started losing the character development and the story didn’t end as neatly as it started. =)
