It's sad that the writer put in so much thought, development and personality for the ML and the FL got to be a brainless doormat with a bleeding heart. Aeng Cho's character was well written. Bo ah did really well for the Joseon scenes. Her acting skills were wasted for 13 episodes. At least she got to stretch her acting muscles for 20 minutes.
I watched the Korean remake first and couldn't follow the storyline, only found out after that it was a remake so I dropped it and checked out the original. Found the original has better flow and story telling. The remake had better production quality and better office setting compared to the original which looked like caricatures.
I'm at ep 14. And man do I hate her mother. Regardless if she loves her daughter or not. That is not how you treat someone you love. Plus, she disrespects her husband. I don't care if she redeems herself in future episodes. I hate her.
And... And... Her mother disowned her. What right does she has to be so bossy and intrusive?
I remember being addicted to this series. Happened to watch a few episode on TV during my trip to China. Took a lot of effort to get my hands on the DVD pack. The series is very heart wrenching for the female lead. But I don't get why she chose that ending for herself.
This is a horrible drama. The 2nd male and female lead and the sister & colleague had way better story line and development than the main leads. There wasn't any chemistry between them and it was annoying as hell with the time skip forward, past and present. It's sad to think that this was the best script that PMY was offered. This was the drama that got to air. I can't begin to imagine how much worse the other scripts were.
