They gave us so many cute scenes between the leads in the first 12 eps that I'm actually worried the succeeding ones will be angsty. Anyways I enjoyed the first 12 eps and was surprised I found it good lmao. Like what people mentioned, the choreography for the fight scenes are good. The chemistry between the leads are also good. I found myself grinning when they're together on screen. YangYang looks good but I like it better when he's sporting his Hei Feng Xi hair. The pony tail suits him better than the bun one (looks good still btw). Also, isnt he too careless to walk around in Yongzhou as Hei Feng Xi? What if the queen finds out? His older brother already did.
I want them to know each other's real identity already.

The dean literally said "I've seen my colleagues get stabbed by a criminal" so let's create an environment that will replicate that with the students' trainer physically and mentally abusing the students even if it's out of spite. The experience won't even come close to the real world. It's more like child's play. It will teach the students to be patient.
This is frustrating to watch because I know this power tripping and bullying still happens. It's heavily integrated in society that it has become a norm. No one bats an eyelash over it. By doing so, it amplifies the continue of such practices. Whenever news of things like these come to public attention, it's frowned upon but no one tries to review the system that allow things like these to even come into existence.
Yes, the world is tough. Yes, police officers need to have physical and mental strength for the heavy requirements needed for their jobs. But this? Just like Eun Gang said, the beatings and abuses won't make them great police officers, it will only promote rebellion. I love that she spoke out because this cycle won't end. When they graduate, some will become vengeful and do the same things to their pupils. It will be never ending.
That being said I hope this will be discussed furthermore in the future episodes. I know the whole system won't be abolished in one day but acknowledging that there is a problem is one of the first steps.
Knowing that they actually existed 300 years ago and their story ended the way it did in the drama is just heartbreaking.
