The acting was good. the story was ok until ep 12. The last 2 eps were kinda pointless and flat. The point of the series feels like its just telling you the possible bad effects of smoking and drinking. The whole "smoking is bad" message feels so forced in the various scenes in the earlier eps, and the ones in the last ep even more so. And Peak liking Hom (who is older by a few years) was a "problem" for them, but Pao dating Cream (whose age gap is even bigger) is ok? Pao has been a working man for quite a few years, Cream should be a college freshman/sophomore . So why was that ok then?
ok, as cute as this ep was. Why would Cake suddenly get in the mood after studying all night? lol and while hs frds are outside he decides to be intimate ih Eiw for the first time?? thats just cringe and weird
Is the episodes on Wabi Sabi youtube cut or uncut. Sometimes i feel that i might have missed scenes. Anyone know?
the YT version seems to be cutting some scenes out. Ep 10 there is a scene where cake meets his frds and they hang out. (this happens after Cake and Eiw go cloth shopping) Ep 9 after Eiw sends the email at the end of the ep, there is a scene where we see Cake's room in America, and it shows some pics on his wall of his frds and Eiw.
The time skip is only from high school to college (3 years max), and yet the advance in technology from a dinosaur…
there are lots of small inconsistencies regarding the time they are in. Like the posters, games, toys, manga in their rooms when they are in junior high/high school. The msn they use seemed a bit off too. I dont remember msn having the ability to share pics like they did. Taking pics and adding them to email was somewhat advanced back then too.
like in yesterday's ep 9. The youtube version didnt show Eiw talking to his brother about dropping his phone into the toilet and needing to get a new one. Eiw wants to fix it cause he and Cake got the phones together. And after the last scene where Eiw emails Cake, there is a scene showing Cake's room in the US and he goes to school. It shows pics on his wall and a note in thai next to Eiw's pic
Ok this series isnt great. It has its problems, but which series doesnt lol. But its not THAT bad tbh. I rather watch this than garbage like Enchante, which had a crappy plot, lousy acting, an unlikable lead character, poor CGI and a horrible ending.
During those close up of Santa towards the end of today's ep....why didnt they bother to shave him? He's go so much facial hair and stubble and in a bad way....he's supposed to be a junior high schooler
So Tess like Tun for his personality, he doesnt know what Tun looks like originally, But can the same be said for Tun?? (I fastward some scenes so Im not sure if I missed the answer to this)
After watching this series I've decided that: the next time I go to Thailand I'm having some KFC with a bottle of oishi lemon tea drink while inhaling some of that black inhaler from both nostrils all at the same time hahahaha
Ok This is not a complaint but I noticed a small inaccuracy with the time period reference. They are apparently in the early or mid 90s since ppl were just starting to use MSN messenger . But then they showed that there were star wars Lego toys. These didnt come out at that time yet. (I'm 80% sure. I could be wrong )
