Hello! I definitely have missed my time on here haha. I wholeheartedly agree with you on this point. Although I've been a fan of Reba, none of her past roles have really stood out to me either. The roles that she has had in the past weren't ones where she was able to showcase her acting skills in. Not only that, but her past partners are not really ones that I am fond of, or think are good in acting particularly no matter how much chemistry she may have with each of them. I think the only ones I actually like her with are Zhang Bin Bin, Deng Lun, and Leon Zhang lol. But despite these 3 men being her co-stars, the storylines of the dramas they collaborated with her in weren't enough to allow her to test her limits as an actress in my opinion.

This is one of the reasons why I am so grateful for TLB, for it has finally given Reba not only a a wonderful co-star like Leo but also a stellar storyline and director who allows her to give it her all as an actress, It's a great role, and I will never get tired of saying this, but it is meant for Reba and can only ever be played by Reba.

It also seems to be a good luck charm for her, considering that it is the first project that she has chosen on her own autonomy, and has garnered so much success not only in China but also internationally. Not only that, but her projects following TLB has been amazing regarding both script and co-stars. YAMG was a wonderful and realistic story between two former high school classmates who fell in love again whilst dealing with the harsh realities that life throws at them. Yang Yang was an amazing partner for Reba and I have always yearned for a drama with the two of them. And of course there chemistry on and off screen did not disappoint! Next we have The Blue Whisper, one that I am highly anticipating. I've watched Allen recently in One and Only and this man definitely has the acting chops to play Chang Yi. I've also read TBW myself, and it is definitely one of the most poetically well written novels I have ever picked up. Then we have Legend of Anle, and of course this one also gives us a strong badass character to see Reba portray. A bonus is that Gongjun is her male lead haha! Seriouly cannot wait for these two projects to air!

Yes most definitely! Chang Ge is one of the characters that has gone through so much growth in any drama I have ever watched. I have no doubt that this character will always remain in Reba's heart as it has for many of us here. I know for sure that the role of Ashile Sun is really important to Wu Lei as well considering that he still mentions it till this day :)

And we all weren’t even asking for a fight in the first place, all we did was point out the flaws and dis credibility of the sources.

Doing the episode summaries was actually such a fun way to rewatch and analyze tlb, and hearing everyone’s thoughts was so cool and interesting too. Unfortunately once school started I lost motivation to come on here lol. Even after watching amazing dramas like YAMG and One and Only, I have yet to write reviews for because of how busy I am. But yes, I am highly anticipating TBW and have read the novel multiple times so I will hopefully be meeting most of you guys on there haha.

I’ve been a big fan of Reba for many years ever since I saw her in Eternal Love. Since then I’ve watched all her dramas, and her role as Fengjiu has always been the one that I identify her as since it is the role that I had first saw her in and is her most popular role.

However after watching TLB, I will always think of Reba and her role as Chang Ge because of how well she had portrayed this character. Even though she had many upcoming roles that are particularly my type including her role in YAMG which I have recently watched, I will always s remember her as Li Chang Ge.

Pardon me for correcting you, but out of all sites on the internet, Wikipedia would be one of the sites that is most untrustworthy. Once you get out of middle school, it is basically taboo to use Wikipedia as a source because of how unreliable it is. If you’re just trying to get a basic understanding of something then Wikipedia is a good place to start. But to rely on it for accurate and trustworthy stats and info, it is likely that no one would find you very credible.

We can abort if everyone feels this is too laborous. I only started this in the beginning to have some fun haha. I enjoy watching American tv shows and enjoy knowing the titles of each episode because it gives an idea of what the episode is about. It makes me look forward to it and find the parts in the episodes that correlate with the title. The idea is only for fun, so no need to continue if everyone starts feeling like it's becoming a task. :)

I don't mind. It's just for fun anyway haha. I've been busy lately and don't have time myself, so it's probably for the best.

I like both the manhua and the drama. Both have their strong points and weaknesses. Although I like how Sun had found about Chang Ge' gender in the manhua, I prefer the drama for this aspect. I enjoy a good romance, and although the drama itself wasn't romance heavy, I was immensely satisfied with the relationship that Gesun had in the drama. If the writers were to follow the manhua for this arc, then we probably wouldn't have gotten as much romance since Xia Da never finished the manhua.

Good idea. it will be better to collect them all and put them under the Recent Discussion so that they're easier to find. I think it would be better if we were to individually put it up there instead of collecting them all under one Discussion. It would be neater and less confusing. One discussion for each episode.

I could pick up E5 WK1. If others are busy, maybe we can just rotate between the 4 of us who have been actively participating. And if others want to join they can still do so and volunteer to pick up the next episode.

Good title! Now that A'Sun has appeared and played a more prominent role in this episode, we are now introduced of our two main leads. Within this episode both of their biggest goals was to get out of Chang'An, so I feel like your title was very fitting.

I like this title a lot! Very fitting for this episode, considering Chang Ge had received help from her "enemy" and had been betrayed by someone she once called "friend."

Wonderful summary! I think for me, the scenes that stood out most were the moments where A'Sun and Chang Ge continuously cross paths in their times of need. Within this episode alone they have encountered each other three times. 3 is considered a magic and perfect number. One of its spiritual meanings is that it represents past, present, and future. A'Sun was present in all parts of Chang Ge's journey since the beginning. He was present in her past, which was before everything had changed for her, he was with her throughout her journey and helped her in some of her most dire situations, and we see that he later on becomes her future, her life partner. These three aspects play a huge part in fate. Both Chang Ge and A'Sun had been fated from the start, so my title for this episode would be "Fateful Encounters."

"A Game of Cat and Mouse" is a great title for this episode and I think your idea of "Assassination" is also pretty good. There were lots of moments that stood out in episode 3, and the biggest one was probably Chang Ge's assassination attempt.

There were also little moments within the episode that accumulate to a bigger theme within the episode, which were the different characters who were after each other, like HappyBirdEgg's idea, a game of cat and mouse.
