He just knew by Wei Ying playing the flute I believe. Zhan knows/loves Wei enough to know his playing when he hears it. I do think it's funny how Zhan wouldn't tell Wei how he knew he was him. lol
Oh how I wish more would of happen with them two, and the ending being different then what is was... Though all in all I just couldn't stop watching!!! 😁
