Why didn't I start this earlier? (Tbh I didn't want to pay a subscription). IT'S AMAZING!! Thank God I have all the eps available, but wow. I'm only in ep 2 and I'm in love with Huai'an's witty. It's my first time seeing someone so courageous towards a ruthless emperor he met for the 'first time'
It's so funny that people gave him a LOT of money, but he only used 50k won lol😂
I hope there's s2, it's such a cute drama. I like this one more than the webtoon (the source). I want to see Sangung trying to save money but wasting it all with his powers.
Whoever wanna start but is scared of the reviews here, start it and see for yourself if you'll like it. I personally found it very interesting. It's funny and fast, it's something to pass time
For those that wanna say that Heinrey/Jongsuk is looking boyish, please, keep it in mind that the webtoon charcter looks the sames. He's a young adult, pretty faced, and looks cute
Most people are not throwing hate though, only recent posters. I'm not quite sure what you mean as you don't explain…
Hello! Just overall. The storyline is a copy of many I've seen, although I don't mind. My main issue is the direction, it's very poor. Some dialogues are also boorish. I have yet to finish the first ep, cause I got bored. The drama overall is just boring. I was just rambling (giving my opinion)
I thought people were just throwing hate, but it IS boring. The direction isn't good, it's low budget, story is predictable. Yep, boring. I wanna keep going cause of KSJ and KTO. And there's this weird feeling, like having good actors but a weird direction? I can see the leads giving their best, but the direction makes it look like something low budget, or something not as professional.
About the mother, I previously said she didn't want her daughter to report cause she wanted to protect her daughter, and my statement wasn't wrong. Her mother grew in a difficult place, and a different generation. Her views about women rights are different. She wanted to stay with her daughter but couldn't. If anyone is wrong, it's her father. Her mother repented, her brother repented, but the father remained the same. Her mother was learning how to be her mother, cause she grew up in a sexist family, and married into another sexist family, ghey viewed women as people to get married and gave babies, only that. A daughter wasn't useful unless they did chores. Her mother learned, and wanted her to fight for her case. She was only a mother. We have some views because we're born into a generation that changed those views. The mother not only was born into a different generation, but she lived in a place where everyone had the same views about women.
About Chuchu, I previously called her selfish. And she was selfish. Of course she was facing some backlash cause she "left" Sibei with that guy (it wasn't her fault, she wouldn't know that would happen), but it's still selfishness. But she didn't make that decision with a sound mind, she wouldn't do that without those feelings (anxiety and depression) clouding her mind. I feel happy she got better and decided to tell the truth. I hope she lives a happy life, one without regret, cause she helped in the end.
About Qin Nan, I don't think their relationship is that weird. He admired her from afar, didn't meddle much with her life, wasn't that much of a stalker (he lived his own life after he left school). He saw her as someone he wanted to be, and later fell in love with her. He idolized her, and that's the only bad part. But I think he learned that she's only human. She won't be happy all the time, she has a dark side, she makes mistakes, she's human. I hope their relationship becomes more healthy. Less idolizing and more love.
Last, about Shu Hui. She was wrong and selfish, but she really thought about her daughter the whole time. She didn't want her daughter to grow up being called a r4p3r's daughter. Internet is crazy, look at what they did to Chuchu. She also thought it was something he only did once. It's wrong? Of course, but from her point of view she only thought about her daughter. Just like she said at the end, she thought he was a good husband and good father. Usually when women are in a loving relationship, they don't see the red flags. We can see it cause we're looking at the couple, but the one's inside a relationship can't really see it. When she saw those videos, where he did that to other women, she reported. She saw he wasn't the husband she thought he was, and that he'd keep making more victims. She thought of her daughter again. He as a girl's father, but did that to other girl's. I know someone whose father is a p3d0ph1l3, he never did anything to her, but did to other girls. His family protects him, but those who saw this knows he's not changing. The girls families never reported him. His family moved him somewhere where there are no children. But his family (brothers, sisters and all), they think he changed and won't ever do something like that. But he has a daughter. He didn't think about his daughter when he did things to other father's daughters. They don't change. That's what Shu Hui noticed when she saw those videos. I pray she protects her daughter, but in a lawful way.
I loved this drama so much, I waited and waited for this to be released and I'm so happy they did. They brought awareness. His daughter will have a hard time understanding her father is a bad man, I hope she understands it. They brought such awareness about victims and the backlash from the internet. Also, that we have to understand and teach people from different generations, like Sibei's mother. I hope there're more dramas like this. God Bless everyone!!!

Now I'm crying (ep 2)
I was just rambling (giving my opinion)
