The second couple is trying to sell their cp so much, i feel their overdoing it, like they are putting more videos…
I completely disagree with your assertion that the second couple is trying too hard to promote themselves. The idea of you thinking they want to become the next ChengLei and Lu Yuxiao is, quite frankly, ridiculous. There’s nothing wrong with them promoting the show and their cp. In fact, it’s a smart move. The main leads may have drawn in a large audience initially, but DengKai and Kong Xueer’s promotions have undoubtedly added to the show’s overall popularity. Their efforts have brought in new viewers who may not have been interested in the show otherwise. There are so many people out there who discovered the second couple through promotional clips and were drawn in by their chemistry hence, tuned into the show and added to the numbers. They’ve brought their own unique energy to the show, and people appreciate their efforts. The team was well aware they could bring in more viewers which is why there were magazine shoots and additional interviews. Rather than criticizing them for promoting their cp, we should commend them for their contributions to the show’s success. They’re not trying to overshadow the main couple in anyway but just simply doing their part to bring more attention to the show.
There’s just something about Qi Min that adds an extra layer of thril to the show. His absence in the last two episodes was definitely felt, well at least for me. I’m convinced he’s secretly plotting something very sinister for his return. What’s the madman cooking?😆
yeah this episode was honestly quite bad. this is their biggest prisoner of war but she was allowed to just lead…
If she really did threaten to hurt him, it would've made more sense if they'd shown us that scene instead of cutting it off. That way, we'd have a clearer understanding of why Xie Wu couldn’t stop her and let her go.
With only 15 episodes left, I'm getting worried that they'll rush through the remaining plotlines. There's still so much to wrap up, and if I'm being honest, 50 episodes would've been ideal for this drama but unfortunately, we're stuck with 40, so I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that everything gets resolved neatly without feeling rushed.

The other soldier Xie Wu was there with them and I honestly don’t get how they were able to leave with the hostage right in his presence without him stopping them. That part made no sense to me. Could have been written in a better way.
I’m low key annoyed they made her character so clueless and dumb, especially in this ep. It’s like, they just wanted her to do something reckless so he’d swoop in, take the fall and get punished, and of course, the obligatory wound tending scene from her for extra romance points. And the whole identity thing is such a drag! big sighhhh
