Ugh. For sure. I didn’t bother halfway into the first episode. The dichotomy of the ML’s personality was just ridiculous. He presents as cold and stoic and then the cake scene and the desk scene where he’s giddy about being immortal. Awful. Stick to one personality trope. It made no sense. Are you happy and light or moody and dark? What are you striving for here? I didn’t want a giddy demon.

I decided to finally finish season 2 after watching Dear Hongrang. I initially couldn’t do season 2 because I was frustrated they switched the FL. I was beyond pleasantly rewarded by another great storyline. The actress is beautiful and did a brilliant job. I missed seeing Naksu but I understood the story had other plots to explore and complete. They tied it up nicely and I was grateful for the ending!

To be honest, it is so refreshing to have a happy ending once in a while. So much of the K drama nowadays are all about proving that everybody needs to be sacrificed for some greater good. For once, I really appreciate it this happy ending.

I think the subtle bromance between CP and ML was cute. 🥰 He can stay chaste and ML’s son can be heir someday. He’s the true king anyway.

I hope so. I think they’re realizing there’s a huge fan base to tap into.

Right?!?! So much incredulous scenes already. As viewers, we believe a miracle cure could surface last minute. Just save him!!!!

Hmmm, just finished the drama. Everyone just nailed their performances. I cannot praise this production enough. I do have to process the ending a bit more... But I am done with endings that need to prove otherwise. I recently watched Love me, Kill me, so I especially wanted a different ending for this one. We all deserve happy endings.

My thoughts exact. Nothing useful out of this series. I wasn’t even impressed with the extent of the abuse. I found myself saying, “Really?” And, without much character development, I couldn’t even feel bad for any of the so called victims.

Awful POS boring. Too long. Unnecessary scenes. Dialogue was shallow. The abuse was all for shock value. None of the characters had any redeeming qualities. Incest to add to the chaos?!?! Waste of time. This Thai series failed pathetically in trying to entertain folks. Watch and regret.

Stories do not have to be perfect for me to enjoy. I wholeheartedly was entertained and was able to empathize with all the characters. I can’t help but wonder if she suggested there could be an alternate reality out there with a happy ending for her and the chairman. That’s what I’ll choose to believe.

I never once thought she looked like an aunt to him. His demeanor was well beyond his years and I could easily have thought he was in his late twenties.

I agree with your comment. I didn’t even care that the lead in the double was older. She gave a stellar performance which matched his and their connection was top notched. Age doesn’t matter for me. Some younger female leads end up being too flat and have no ability to develop their characters.

Welcome to the club. Ever since I started watching cdrama, nothing compares. These ML’s are beyond talented. They are beautiful and masculine at the same time, and they linger in your memory long after the stories are over.

I’m sure it does. But I’m okay to miss this for now. Enjoy if you continue. ML is a favorite of mine so I might return someday but it’s not interesting enough for me at the moment.

Omg. I tried, too. Super incredibly slow. All they did was eat together in the first few episodes. Useless scenes… I didn’t have the patience and I adore the ML, too.

As a psychologist, this was a fascinating story to process. Given the complexity of the history behind so many characters, I’d say they did a good job of telling the story. I have just ONE question. Where is that botanical garden located? The one with the massive indoor water fall.

What more do you think could be explored in another season? The society has all been annihilated. Who would play the protagonist?

The fan base is sick, IMO. There is some twisted sick fantasy they have about their stars being available for them. Otherwise, they are deemed unworthy of their support.
