Well, I'm waiting for someone to drop the recommendations cos I watched this couple of years ago but I keep coming back ☺️

Alright. Thank you for your response. I just started the drama and came to look at the reviews. As soon as I saw the first few, I was scared to go any further cos I knew it would affect my objective analysis of my enjoyment level of it. And it did for a while. I'm glad I continued, cos so far so good, I'm really enjoying it. Whether that'll be so till the end, I can't say but I think I've gotten to the point where I can make decisions without my thoughts being influenced by the reviews I read here.

I'm curious as to how this has 9.1 rating but the worst reviews I've seen on MDL. I guess I need to stop reading MDL reviews and just watch and decide for myself whether I like it or not. Wish me luck 🤞🏽.

Here for my guy Jung Hae In. I really hope this doesn't disappoint cos at the end of the day, I don't care who's in it if the story and delivery of it isn't any good.

Hi Joy, thank you so much. I haven't seen Oh My Ghost. I should add that to my watchlist and check it out later. But you're absolutely right on the emotional satisfaction. I've also had kdramas that gave me such satisfaction but it turned out a lot of people didn't appreciate. So, yeah. That happens. But just like you said, I've also found that first time kdrama watchers tend to rate dramas really high cos it's different kin a good way actually. However, I always tell them to go rewatch some of their favourite dramas after a while and they'll wonder what they ever saw in it. I finally finished this one though and I personally think they tried to redeem themselves in the last episode but nah, the damage is already done. It was a meh watch and I'm never recommending to anyone.

You just summed up every single thought I had while watching this. I know it's an old drama but I'm only just watching this for the first time, so I'll drop my review and rating much later but I'm highly surprised anyone rated this anything higher than 5. With all the plot holes and senselessness that happened in it? Just weird

I genuinely don't see how anyone thinks this was better than Something in the Rain but I can see that a lot of people did think that. At least out of the ones who made an effort to leave a review or a comment. So, maybe we're the odd ones 😅. But I dare say that compared to Something in the Rain, this doesn't even hold a candle. This was an absolute disaster.

I honestly don't get it when people say it was boring and they couldn't watch it. But people have different tastes, so it's fine. I'm deeply and totally in love with this drama. It's my favourite modern romance kdrama. Everything about it was so realistic.

First Chinese miniseries that absolutely works for me. It doesn't feel like there were skipped scenes at all. Everything flows seamlessly.

I hated the first half of this drama.

Thanks for the response. I already dropped the drama just for that. I'm black and I can't imagine being told my dark skin isn't beautiful. Every shade is beautiful and that was just totally wrong.

It's 3 years ago and I'm just about to watch the drama but finding out from watching the intro part of the drama that she had to whiten made me unsure of whether I was willing to go into it or not. So, if it was approached very well, then I guess I should put my bias aside and give it a shot. Thank you.

Really, I'm about to watch this drama and I know your comment was 3 years ago but seeing that she whitened her skin is putting a bad taste in my mouth. And yeah, I've relaxed my hair as well but I think whitening is going overboard. And for that, I'm quite unwilling to go into this drama with such a bias. I mean, some people do whiten themselves in my country but a lot of us are also happy with our dark skins and even super proud of it. Do you think it's something that I can watch without feeling a certain type of way while watching it?
