The first is a movie that only adapt the first volume, the series has more volumes adapted and they cut down a little bit and is more smooth to watch. The manga is Yaoi, so yes is romance in it and more angst that in the series so far. I read the 6 translated volumes, if you need more info ask!

Bible has 27 and in the series he has 21 and go to college, I don't like to see 30 years old actors/actress in high school or college, sorry in my fault I know, but I don't like😔. You're rigth, Taichi is not ready for this, he still don't believe that someone as falling for him 🥹, poor baby Taichi ans his first stollen kiss🤭. Is one of my favourite mangas so I know what's going to happen and I'm loving it so far, including the stairs kiss. Please people don't push Taichi cause is not ready for more skinship, plus is Japanese so ir more hard for him. The couple is doing an amazing job and I can't wait to watch the next episode🙏
