I usually don't like "school days" dramas, either in flashbacks or just current scenes.
This series treats "school days" differently - and more importantly genuinely.
The male soccer players act naturally.

When I first started watching this series, I was somewhat bored with the FL and her lack of involvement.

As I watched more episodes, I became so involved with the young male students. These young students were such an inspiration - how the FL became actively involved and the ML started discovering the truth.

I am up to ep 16 - must share with you, my husband rarely watches what I watch but he came into our room and he got captured by the story, the acting, and the actors themselves --- all of it.

Don't give up at the beginning - keep on going. This is excellent in all respects.

This series is one of the most refreshing and novel series I've watched in a long time. Very few tropes, the FL is intelligent, the ML is decent - fully recommend this to anyone who wants to watch something a little different, a little smarter. So far, 9/10.

I agree - after all, Gone Girl was a movie - and no fill-in is necessary, but The Husband is different - 12 episodes, really needs a great writer to not fill in. I also liked When the Phone Rings, except that it had some filler in it too. Thanks, at least I was not losing my mind thinking it might have been Gone Girl - :-)

It was a psychological thriller - The Husband is different, but still both are edge-of-your-seat shows.
