On the other hand his feelings and relationship with Maki were more compatible he showed a lot of concerns and care towards Maki not on the same level for the boss he probably fell in love with Maki from the beginning but Haruta being himself he didn't understand how to process his own feelings fast enough.

This episode's production was great! I liked Earth's goofy side it was so refreshing to see, they definitely did a great job with adapting the plot and I enjoyed it.I don't look at adaptations as a benchmark for previous work cause it is a separate project with a different culture, language, actors and audience changes are inevitable they gotta make it adapt to them to make it more natural especially when it comes to comedy, rather than copying every line that was based of they adapt it in a way that makes it fit the local taste and culture while keeping the original essence.

I was surprised to see the change honestly but I think it was pretty understandable to take her out of the picture for probably moral reasons? they didn't want a married man to be cheating on his wife they went with a single father figure who has more freedom to marry again and maybe convince his daughter about it instead of a wife
