I'm not too sure of this as the novel cp is way different to the cp they seem to be hinting in the drama but in the novel, fml did have a relationship before she got with ml but that was in university so not sure if they will include a university segment in the drama. The pairings in the drama are different from the novel since they removed a few characters.

He is a love interest but he is a special appearance so not as much screen time as a main lead tho they have listed him as one on mdl, I don't think it will be serious. Probably just there to help the ml and fml get together. They cut out the actual love interest who was supposed to be zhuang yuan so u won't see this ding ye guy for too long.

most likely she did die and jiang yi has something to do with it and maybe yingzi too coz why did she say she forgive him and why does he forgive her? The grandma could have alzheimers or maybe that scene was also her imagination.

I'm watching it raw with vpn coz i don't need subs but its on kisskh with subs but its machine translated so i doubt it would make sense but u can try see. I saw the super episode on kisskh and the subs said something that they were not talking abt it so not reliable but decent.
i do miss ming yu celebrity boyfriend from the novel. He was such a funny and interesting character that they decided to scrap from the drama. Him and huang yingzi were so funny together. He was also a part of the friendship group if I remember correct. I think they were 8/9 in the novel and they decreased it to 6 friends which i agree is too much lol but why scrap him out 😭
ding ye never existed in the novel, zhuang yuan was supposed to be the 2nd love interest for her. From the reuters i've seen when this drama was filming, it seemed that ding ye is like a cameo role, not that much scenes but hes not the second lead either but he will like her later on. Yes hes gonna be a friend at first ig.
LMAO I was rewatching and that scene where they were taking ugly photos, she mentions her boyfriend in the novel so does she date him in the drama too or?..... coz i thought they aren't gonna include him in the drama but ig we need that jealousy for the main cp to form.

(doesn't count since she only liked ZY coz she thought he was handsome and everyone had a crush on him so she had to as well) ZY character is different in the novel, he was the quiet, cold and smart type but they made him a nerd in the drama lol. ZY liked Huang yingzi secretly in the novel. But they changed it in the drama to him liking Mingyu who did like him in the novel but she ends up getting over him and got with another guy but in the drama ig she does still like him. Yi fei liked jiang yi in the drama but they made her and guan chao a cp in the drama but guan chao did not end up marrying her in the novel nor drama either so yh.
so far the drama cps are: Huang yingzi + Jiang yi , possible sl is ding ye who hasn't appeared yet. Zhuang yuan + Ming yu Yi fei + Guan chao ( they clearly don't end up together tho since he is marrying someone else in the present time)
