Some people are truly strange for calling this a masterpiece simply because of the complex, philosophical, make-believe atmosphere the series tries to create. In reality, the story could have been all of thatāif only the actors and the director had been on the same page. Instead, we are given blank pieces of a puzzle they expect the viewer to fill in, yet those pieces remain empty.What we are given, however, is not profound complexity but the illusion of itāan aesthetic of meaning rather than meaning itself.
