It's easy to say that she's weak, but overall this entire thing is a lot to go through for anyone, even a cop. I think the way she's acting in this situation is incorrect and inconsiderate to the ML, which is literally her husband, constantly making him go through a lot of mental struggle while he is already overwelmed with this psycho trying to get revenge at him. The ml has patience because he is head over heels for her, we saw that in the very first episode, i like the fact that he is understanding, but i dont like the fact that she is constantly taking advantage of that and not considering his feelings.

No, just watch it, its very great but also very frustrating in this point of the show, but it will blow by, dont let this stop you, its a masterpiece.

I get that she feels guilty, but when she decided to marry Hansheng, she should have known that it was over with Jiang cheng at that point. She was the one who agreed to marry him, if she was still not over Jiang cheng, then she shouldn't have gotten married in the first place. And now, after she recipricated Hansheng's feelings, by clearly displaying acts of affection with him as a married couple, you mean to tell me its okay for her to be acting like this with Jiang cheng? I get that they are family, she can care for him as a family, while outwardly rejecting him, the past is in the past, its been 5 years, i dont get why the SML thinks everything can just go back to normal. Yes its a complex situation, but she should be distancing herself from Jiang cheng especially when he is trying to pursue her. Doing any more, she would cross the line and would be emotionally cheating. But in all of this, you cannot blame the ML, when he stayed their by her side, and suppressed his jealousy when the SML shamelessly kept pursuing her right infront of him, and she never did anything about it.

Okay after calming down, i can see that she did reject him, i just hope she was more straight forward, but some things can be difficult especially considering their past and everything he did for her, but seriously, this is becoming frustrating. If you really want her to be happy, she can be happy with someone else, stop ruining their goddamn happy relationship Jiang cheng.

The FL is the issue in all of this, she never made it clear to the SML that she has a husband, and even agreed to be the officer that takes care of him when there is literally no freaking reason to do that, and she is terribly inconsiderate to her husband, while she keeps sobbing infront of him about her ex. The ML is considerate and was always there for her, but she never made it clear to him that she only loved him, she was clearly faltering when she found out the SML was innocent. Its ridiculous how you could pin the blame on them, and making the FL to be the victim in all of this, like did we even watch the same show??

Im seriously getting annoyed by her, i get that she feels guilty, but you have a man now, there is no reason to become his "caretaker officer" when the SML clearly asked for you because he likes you and wants to go back with you, she never clearly rejected him, and she keeps making her husband worry, despite him being kind and understanding. She's making the ML go through a lot without any consideration, its absolutely insane. At this point, i doubt they'd be endgame. i really hoped for a good ending with them as couple, but now its getting much harder to think that would be the case.

Ahh, that's good to know. for my page in the 90's I'm not necessarily taking abt him being a sanitary napkin company ceo, but the stuff he said at some points were very cheesy to me. Its not just this cdrama, but a lot of directors use periods as a way to make the ML appear as "green flag" but i think there are better ways to do that, having a variety is good, when the same thing gets overused, it becomes annoying. Like its either the Fl runs out of pads and he goes and buys it for her, or she bleeds through and he covers her up with his jacket, soooo cliche.

And ik some of yall going to misinterpret what i'm saying, but its just so cheesy and cliche. Those are some elements of poor writing dude.

I'm seriously so confused of what a trashy episode we had today, that scene was so poorly written, it's like such an on purpose move to ruin the wholesome dynamic, Xie Zheng had no business doing all that at all, and that little childish argument they had going on pissed me off so bad. Like if you're going to make a fall out, do it properly jeez, and idc if anyone is mad abt what i'm saying bc the show is so great until they did that. And i also don't enjoy her friend's story, this is not why i'm watching it. I needed more about the main couple and the politics, backstory, etc, idk why the writer went that route. And i see a lot of chinese dramas recently lean into the empowering women and feminism route, which i love as a woman, but sometimes its too repetitive, they can do that less obviously, it feels like "Girls power yay" type thing, straight in your face. I've seen this year a couple dramas like that, like my page in the 90's with that whole period pad (I see it happen in every cdrama) thing, like okay we get it, the dude is a progressive feminist, we love that, but pleaseeee its too repetitive and in your face. You can deliever the same message in a more subtle way.

at first i thought she might have misunderstood and maybe the girl kissed him off guard bc how he pushed her off. i also thought something was off with him at first but then they grew on me and now am so let down...

Wth, why only one episode today????? What happened guys.. this is the only thing about cdramas i dont like, kdramas would never do a messy release date like this but atleast this is everyday and not every week

like i said its the directors and writers fault, its not even just the voice, the script itself is like it's for a 12 yr old character.

Yea it pisses me off too, Esther yu's voice isnt like this, she acted in a journey to you and it was fine, but the character specifically in this show is written like a 12 year old, not a grown woman, tbh even highschoolers dont talk like this, and def not a 19-20 yr old woman.
