Based on previews it seems both Yuzhan and Jang shao are going to die in the end...leaving Jizhan and the emperor stuck together by fate but not love....what the hell?

Any chinese language speakerz who have seen episode 36, can you please clarify: is jizhan back to being married to the emperor? What the hell just happened?

Jinzhan and shao split lasts for only an episode before they get back together...i think jinzhans father suspects a bigger conspiracy against the fu family

I suspect the older sister doesn't believe she is fated to be with the emperor...remember when the priest/fortune teller at the temple said that they were not suited to marry...she is afraid and cautious. In this respect, the emperor and Jizhan are similar, they believe in controlling their own destiny rather than following fate....and now that she is empress and poisoned, i suspect she is going to be more afraid of fate, thinking that she was not fated to be with the emperor....i like how fate vs. Free will is captured by both couples: the emperor and jizhan are more free will and stubborn while elder sister and shao are more cautious

Absolutely love the second FL....she may be reckless but atleast she is decisive...without her forcefully taking action and faking her death both the ML and FL would have been wasting time pining for each other....the FL is still dragging her feet...I just hope Jizhan gets a good ending and has the freedom and love she desires...from the previews it seems that the elder sister is dying...it seems the younger sister fated to be empress....lets hope they all continue defying fate and sticking to their own loves

Woah! Just daw some previews and the elder sister was coughing up blood...wtf? I am starting to suspect that the ML may give up the throne to the second ML if the elder sister actually dies

I feel bad for the second FL lead

I feel like the first half of thow was totally unnecessary for the overall narrative...what exactly has switching the two sisters accidentally changed in the overall storyline...i feel like it eas unnecessary esp since they will switch back to their original partners...the next half will probably exclusively focus on the politics with the evil aunt....i doubt there will be anymore twists or surprises in the romance since they will switch back to their original partners

Yep...just saw previews for pisodes 19 onwards and second FL is indeed going to fake her death and live happily ever after with second ML..i wonder what will prompt the fight between the MLs since the previous emperor already announced the ML as the legitimate successor......

Interesting...so the twist is instead of marrying the elder first, the drama shows the other way round where the younger marries first. I guess the next step is for the younger sister to be killed paving the way for the older sister to become empress...i just find the female lead uninteresting...part of me still wishes the second FL ends up with the ML but thats highly unlikely

Its almost half way through and i suspect the next half of the series is the couples trying to correct the marriage mistake...although i secretly wish the ML and the second FL grow affectionate but i think the story is headed for a fight between the second ML and the ML over the throne

You are so right about the comparatively better chemistry between ML and second FL however based on episode 13 and 14 i dont think that is where the story is going...anyone who has read the novel should let us know how the couples are going to end

Is it just me or do the ML and second FL have some chemistry brewing? Anyone know where i can dind english version of the original novel?

My god....10 mins per episode and so much emotion, tension, indescribable beautiful subtle dialogue...YET there are 30 + episode shows with massive budgets that have sh**ty dialogue and meaningless plotlines....this is soo unfair....the writer and actors need more bl work!
