I know both chinese and Eng. I watched in one sited Both Chinese sub and Eng subs where shown together. when I watched they said Hong Mei as I can see in Chinese subs but in Eng they showed us Helen. You might be right about the FL cheating bcoz Script writer & director both are same person. And ofc it's a women. When the drama has a FL or any women cheating plot and the writer is a women then be ready the cheater will get happy ending at last by getting forgiven or will live happily even after messing up his partner life. That's typical Asian dramas for you written by a women. You can watch Asian dramas written by women like Fishbowl wives, My Treasure, My Mister, Misti, My wife is having an affair this week etc. In all those dramas cheating women gets happy ending and even get forgiven. In Fishbowl wives and My Treasure drama Husband even has to take the child which is biologically not his.😂😭 And the rest 3 dramas I mentioned, all are forgiven for doing wh0re behaviour just for the sake of their child. Didn't they think about their child when they were taking d!¢k of other men in their mouth and suddenly showing interest to their child after getting caught lmao. Typical women writing scripts. I am not even watching when the script writer is a women with the drama name like "affair" and cheating. I am fed up of women script writers. I know here Lee Dong Wook character will get karma and punished at the end while Female who cheat are often forgiven at the end, even husband taking the affair child to raise. In both category the script writer is women they write the script to hide women infidelity and forgive later but when husband cheat he gets Karma and punished lmao. This Asian women script writers pissed me off. You can watch Asian dramas like Fishbowl wives, My Treasure, My Mister, Misti, My wife is having an affair this week etc. in those dramas all cheater women are forgiven at last and husband even taking the child that his wife got from an affair. In " Fishbowl Wives " drama until the end all wife are freely cheating and some even getting pregnant. One of the wife even cheerfully without any remorse says I don't know if the child is my husband or my lover lmao. Until the end her husband doesn't even know and has no idea about his wife infidelity and drama ended without husband knowing it. Same in "My Treasure" drama, husband has to forgive the cheater wife and even raising the child which is not his. He knew his wife got pregnant from affair and the child is not his but the women script writer has other plans portraying like " No women can cheat and get pregnant but husband need to forgive even need to raise the child". That's the slogan of every characterless women script writers. Same in those of 3 dramas I mentioned, cheater wife are forgiven just for the sake of their child. Why people are barking here about age gaps? Do they really know the movie is based on true story ? So why should the director cast a younger male just to make it look good. Do they have any idea that this is not made up fantasy or romance movie. This is based on true story so ofc they will cast exact the true story characters were depict. Read some tags too before watching the drama. This type of movie are indeed not everyone's cup of tea. Go watch made up romance kdramas where FL and ML are in same age. 💀

I mentioned that drama in my first statement..check it again... I have watched this. I hated the ending coz how can a writer give a wh0re characterless cheater wife a happy ending. She had time to have s€x and visit hotel with her lover everyday but doesn't have time for family lmao what an excuse she had given. I hated more to that husband for being simp and doormat. If I was the writer I would have remarried the husband with the other divorced wife who also has a child. And also give the child custody to the husband. I would also portray where their child grows up and as a father tells the truth about her mother infidelity telling it's not the daddy fault. And the husband and his 2nd wife live happily. But among the 3 writer of that drama, one was women. I am sure the ending was written by her to give happy ending to the wh0re wife.

But still she can't turn back the time and Infidelity and mistake has already been done even thou it's detective child. She had s€x with someone else when she is married. So even if it's a detective child what done is done. And they should get divorce at last. And husband take the child custody. Hope she loss everything or dies in the process of investigation. It would be a satisfying ending for a cheater. And also ofc the villains in the drama should also get a brutal ending

Why people here are barking on Infidelity vs Sexual offender. Let me explain you. Sexual offender are already portrayed as villain and yes they are already hated since the beginning of the drama. And it 1000% easily predictable that those support Villain Sexual offender will get brutal karma or punishment in the end. But we are not sure about the FL who is fighting for justice against sexual offender yet she herself is portrayed as wh0re character who cheated her loving and innocent husband. I know audience wouldn't mind if her husband was also a cheater or having affair with someone but here the husband is an innocent and she being a lead characters she is portrayed as wh0re. I know that is why audience are more focus on infidelity since she is a FL character.

My Own Prediction How Writer Will End The Drama -
We all know FL character won't die since she is a lead. So in my opinion to cover up her infidelity, I think the writer will kill her detective husband through the investigation. And writer will portray and show us FL with her child left alone regretting and crying to what she had done to her husband. She and her child nearby by her detective husband grave, telling lies to her child that the detective is her father , hiding the facts not biologically. I am sure the writer will write the script like I said.
As you all know in the drama only good people suffer. And you should also know the script writer is a WOMEN. You can see many cheating drama written by women where cheating wife get Happy endings with no karma. Drama like Misti, My wife is having an affair this week, My Mister etc. Watching so much drama, I sometime can predict the script and ending.
