It s common in some J style comedy and sometimes Thai. I don t like too, above all the overacting, but if the plot is well written is bearable. The problem is when there isn’t a valid script.

I’m threading very carefully here (trying to find out a bit more about this drama to see if it’s worth watching)…
Personally I don t find it a toxic love. And in my opinion 8.4 is underrated. They deeply take care of each others. “Dark” I don t know, it s not a comedy, but dark is too much.
The first two episodes are unwatchable. The acting is almost okay. But the script and direction are really confusing and superficial. I'll keep watching it later. Poor Cha Eun Woo, His acting is ok, But His entourage never choose a drama that suits him.

Yes I totally understand u. U re right. I think that they love each other so much (the script). If they kiss or not, if they slept together or not, it doesn t matter. It s a respectable director s (or screenwriter) choice. In this case I don t feel the lack of intimacy. They are more intimate than a lot of sex scenes i ve watched in 300 and more “normal” BL. It s a beautiful love story of healing, if they are 2 men, or 2 women or straight it s not important. It s a personal opinion obviously.
