That's exactly what it is. I've seen numerous kdramas do the same thing and everytime someone speaks up they get dismissed and Kdramas keep making more dramas mocking both Africans and African Americans. It doesn't end, they'll make something worse soon again.

Just because a lot of them are stereotyping doesn't make it ok. People have the right to call them out yk. In a lot of kdramas they're doing at least 1 racist or stereotype and yall are like there's only one scene of that so it's ok. No bro it's very much not okay!

So sad that they keep stereotyping Africa. I lived there for all my childhood and the stereotyping is never accurate. I dropped a lot of Kdrama because of that. I hope this get canceled so Kdramas stop stereotyping. Or at least reduce the stereotyping, it's very sad and disgusting to watch.

Commenting "wtf" on someone's post is actually rude. And what I meant by Tharntype approach is the p**n without plot trope which was most of season 1. IK the novel is dark! If you read my post you'd know i said first 3 ep isnt doing justice so far to the plot and ofc its too early to conclude. My bad for assuming on Not me, I had a lot of people who complained about the show from ep 1 bring up more arguments when they kissed.
*Expecting a kiss for no reason would be low expectation.
*Expecting a normal kiss would be mid Expectation
*Expecting a kiss with solid build up that'd give me butterflies would be high expectations.

It's just weird because they barely have any scene together and barely have any meaningful conversations and don't even like each other. Like why did they even kiss? Where did that come from lol. What was the point of that? My reaction when I watched that scene was "wait... what?🤨"

My expectations weren't too high, my expectations for dramas are usually mid. Ik this discussion is still controversial for people who didn't like Not me but Not me did have a solid build up but I'm not about to go back into that argument. Like I said, Kinn x porsche didn't even have any build up so the kiss seems weird. But I get it, people do stupid things when they are drunk so that plus the no build up makes the kiss seem more meaningless.

I do think it's too early to judge but so far for whole 3 episodes I can tell that something is seriously off. I really like this show so much and love a lot of the characters to death so I'm hoping it doesn't take the Tharntype approach. I hope this actually has a plot!

You're so right. I remember Bad buddy and Not me and Semantic error first kiss. I could replay it for a 100 times because of the build up. Kinn x Porsche isn't giving that chemistry yet. Kinn and Porsche don't even have much meaningful scenes together so far.
