It probably wouldn't have been very good when adapted. Not all source materials can be adapted to series. And they have to think about viewerships, ratings and the likes not just the story. Adapting epic novels are messy work. But i havent read the book so i wouldn't really know how hard it would be to follow it faithfully but my experience tells me it will be difficult

Oh dear, i really hope not.

Meaning that if they changed her part this much in the series then most likely Haishi and Fang Zhu's fate too will change. After all in the trailer he admitted that he loved her which I'm sure didn't happen in the book. Good to know.

By all indications i dont think haishi and the emperor will ever fall in love. She might become a part of the harem because of some plan that Fang Zhu cooks up or something like that but all footage ive seen seems to haishi being angry with the emperor

That makes sense too. but thinking of it boys/men don't really chang much from around age 17 to 24. The girls however change alot by age 15. So it actually makes sense.

I think he isn't really that old just like 5 years older like maybe 12 and 17 at the beginning

BTW how are Jae Ni and the kids going to take the news of thier father dating dandan. They like her but it doesnt necessarily mean they want a new mother. Id love to see how this plays out

I love park dandan but at this point i want her to go abroad get stronger and give that family a run for their money. Watching her cry at every provocation is getting old.
