I think they love each other and there is some sexual attraction but since Chen yi is not still ready to get into a relationship because of his mental state and the fact that he wants to protect Miao jing they dont date… it also can be some sort of flirting from Miao jing… from the very moment that they kissed in the early episodes till the final episodes they didn’t really put a label on their relationship nor did confess or communicate but you could feel that they love each other through their actions and words. But its true that they dragged it, specially with all the jealousy scenes, in fact it was unnecessary and too much.

Im rewatching this. And now I understand both side much better! What I understood is that Miao Jing at her young age needed someone who can take care of her or show some kindness to her and Chen Yi at some point did that for her… and while how brutal life was for Chen Yi, Miao Jing came back and did what Chen Yi did to her back then. Their relationship kinda reminds me of parent-kid… first the parent take care of you and when they get old its your turn to take care of your parent…

Some of the scene are just so funny to me… like the way bro wanted the fl so bad to be identified but when she said I have a gift for you he seemed to excited and fooled ran to her room and then saved her but then again told her I’ll make you suffer… the unstable mental health of male lead…

I was saaying the same thing for Overdo… like some male leads are portrayed so stupidly in love that they look pathetic and miserable… at the same time me personally I prefer watching unrealistic male lead and female lead cause I know deep down those kind of people doesn’t exist in real life so I just enjoy watching things that are fantasy just to keep me away from real world

Ok this show is not that good but since I waited for it for so long I still insist on watching it… and now Im at ep 3… but I have a question in general. Why does writers always write the male lead so much in love that they look lowkey so stupid… the female lead is always indifferent and patient but the male lead is pathetic and stupid 🙄

For example I just finished Love For You and both the lead Song Wei Long and Zhang Jing Yi nailed their role! Their acting was so good that you couldn’t tell if they are acting or they are living those emotions… also Bai Jing Ting from The First Frost is a really good actor. So I think I have enough example to compare ;) no hate just my opinion

I don’t know about you but for me the acting bothers me more than the AI thing… like the ml is good looking and all but his acting is just not good, he can’t put emotions on his face, or you can’t feel emotions in his eyes much… I feel like he played better in POJ

I give it 8.5 or even 8 would be enough. After ep 28 there was just so many sweet moment that at some point I had enough of it… like it was way too much! Anyway it was a really good show and I’ll miss this couple…

I loved the coffee shop scene in ep 27. It was so wholesome and heartwarming! The way they were just sitting next to each other without any specific words and then how well Zhang jing yi acted as she realized that her mom is gone TT

Omg also when Chen yi brought up opening a store together in the city… I was like why every drama has this idea of opening a store? Lol. And then he said that he was a jerk for deciding on miao jing studies… I also feel like at that point fl felt a relief or kinda better after him forcing her to leave in the early episodes. Like they kinda talked about it.
