Watch Order:1. Duel on Mount Hua: Eastern Heretic and Western Venom (8 episodes)- Backstory of Eastern Heretic…
Ignore him/her. He's spamming the same comment over and over again in every topic, and it's wrong.

Watch order is The Legend of Heroes first as, just like any prequel, the Duel on Mount Hua prequels are made to be watched AFTER the main story.

The watch order for the prequel after that is a) Nine Yin True Sutra, 2) Eastern Heretic and Western Venom, 3) Southern Emperor and Northern Beggar and then, when it's released next week, 4) 5 Great Masters.

You have it backwards.

The Legend of Heroes is the first one to watch -- just like with any prequel made, the main story is made to be watched first. Hence, why it was released a year before the prequel.

Then Nine yin True Sutra is next, followed by Eastern Heretic and Western Venom, Southern Emperor and Northern Beggar and, finally, the Five Great Masters.

Currently 2 episodes in and, wow, this is superb.

Well-written, very well-acted, a plot that grabs you from the first scenes, and with characters you actually care about -- the coach, his ex girlfriend, the principal and the kids on the rugby team.

Yoon Kye Sang is perfectly cast as the ML too.

Sure, the comedy is a little over the top, so not always to my taste, but the rest of if really makes up for that (and if slapstick comedy is your thing -- nothing wrong with that, it's just not mine -- you'll love it).

This is the first K-drama I've watched in a few months, as I've been glued to Cdramas and, as someone who doesn't usually enjoy sports-themed dramas, this is a superb re-entry into the Korean drama world. A 10/10 for me so far.

Only mid-way thru Ep 4, but this is excellent, and a lot of fun so far. Great cast, solid performances and pretty cinematography too. Throw in intriguing cases, and it's a very entertaining watch.

Legal version on YouTube (ie: you're supporting the actual production company and the animations studio and artists…
Yep. The poorly AI generated subs are definitely a problem. Even on WeTV, YOUKU and iQIYI, some dramas are either fully AI-generated or with some episodes by AI. Very annoying, IMO. Especially when you're paying for a subscription, and can barely understand what's going on in half the episode.

You're welcome. And sorry, didn't mean to attack yhou for linking to myanimelive, as I use that site a lot too for donghua that are hard to find.

I just prefer to watch things legally if possible as, the more donghua and dramas do well internationally, the more donghua/dramas we will get AND the more influence we will have on Chinese studios :)

Go to myanime.liveThey are all there and the site is updating within 24hGood quality and updated up to 153 as…
Yep, that compilation video is great too as it cuts out the opening and ending animation of each episode, if I remember correctly.

You can then watch the episodes after Ep 100 from that playlist I linked to (I'm just not sure why Chinese streaming services can't upload new episodes in the right order on their playlists, so that you can put a playlist on auto-play and watch each episode in the correct order, but there ya go :)

And, honestly, I watch bootleg sites as much as anyone but, when it's available legally and FREE on YouTube, and so supports the animators, I don't see any reason to link to a non-legal site :)

I'm on ep. 8. They simply chopped everything. Destroyed the original story and Han Li growth and character depth,…
People in the comments explaining to you about 'donghua' are making it really complicated :)

Basically, Japanese animation is called 'anime' and Chinese animation is 'donghua'.

It doesn't matter if it's 3D-animated or 2D-animated, it's still 'donghua' if it's produced in China.

this is prequel. The whole story of Legend of Condor Heroes is told in a very creative way and expanded
That's not true though. The main story came out in 2024 and most people have already watched that.

And like most prequels, which are usually released AFTER the main story both in China and in the west, you should watch the main story first. Perfectly understandable if watching main story first, then prequels. As most of us did.

But also, what a terrible marketing blunder to change the name so close to launch. If viewership drops, the fact…
Happens with many Chinese dramas and has done for years, and it has never made a difference before. So I wouldn't worry about it if I was you :).

Now it's obvious you prefer to go through life ignorant and stupid, but a 10 second Google search would show you who I am.

Here you go, because apparently, you're not too bright.

https://leosigh.com/what-is-leo-sigh/

That's one of the 11 websites I own. It's also one of the sites I run that concentrates on Asian entertainment, including Chinese dramas. I own 3 more.

I've also written for more Asian newspapers and magazines than I can count during the 15 years I lived in Thailand, and the 3 years in Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. But hey, you know more about my life than I do from your 'No Name' account on a drama site. Fool.

And now I'm done explaining myself to an idiot. Life is too short.

I'm a journalist who covers Chinese dramas among other things. Been doing it for about 25 years, in Asia and in the west.

So yes, I have an opinion on a drama that is big budget yet, at least 3 episodes in (haven't watched Ep4 yet) is a shallow copy of the donghua with only 'mid' production quality versus the money spent on it.

If you haven't watched the donghua, which is one of the best and most popular ever made with over 3.2 billion views and counting, you don't know what the drama is lacking. So yes, you may like this.

Meanwhile, I've hated dramas people love, and been obsessed with dramas people hate. But nowhere have I ever said to anyone "Don't watch it". In fact, I just told someone who wasn't planning on watching this to watch it and make up their own mind.(You should always watch a drama for yourself and make up your own mind, and not let anyone, including me, make up your mind for you).

So, no, I'm not trying to "convince everyone how bad it is", I'm simply stating my opinion.

The Immortal Ascension arrived with a huge build up and fan fare for about 2 weeks before it dropped. So far, the drama has not lived up to the hype. (Other than Yang Yang, who was a good choice as Han Li). Disappointingly, as this was THE drama I was looking forward to this year.

And it doesn't matter if the "heat index" on YOUKU is high or not. That just means people are watching it and/or commenting on it, it doesn't mean people like it.

Yep. It's Chin Shih Chieh. He's always brilliant in every role. Did a superb job as the grandfather in The Prisoner…
Go away fool.
