And, honestly, the only thing I don't like about this drama is that the writer has not put just ONE instance in it where, people are talking about something not going to happen, and then a servant rushes in to say it just HAS, but about 97 instances.
It's at the point now where, if anyone is discussing something that may not happen, I start counting to see how long it takes before the servant rushes in with the news it has :)
Somewhat shoddy writing that takes away from the brilliance of the rest of the script. But.... it still hasn't dissuaded me from my 10/10 for the drama, IF it continues as superb as it has been right till the end.
Saw some hints about what was shown in the previews for Eps 33 and 34 (haven't watched them, don't plan on doing), and I will GUARANTEE you what the previews are supposedly showing is very likely not what actually happens :)
I am happy she realized this quite man is very caring... and that is showing her growth..I feel out of the three…
Really happy for her. She started out being very welcoming when Jinzhao first arrived at her father's house, but was then pulled in a bad direction by her stupid mother which was not entirely her fault. Happy to see the sisters getting along, and pleased that Gu Lan has found a lovely man who actually loves her AND understands her :)
Huang Yi, btw, is doing a fabulous job in the role. 2nd drama I've watched her in in the last two weeks, and she's brilliant in both.
Itβs insane how men think a woman will wait for years without ever knowing how they truly feel. In the end,…
I kid you not, I once had a guy AT HIS WEDDING ask me to dance, and then cry on my shoulder "What am I going to do without you?" I mean, I kinda knew he liked me, but his freaking new WIFE was right there!!! And she was lovely, and a friend of mine. WTF, dude. π€£
And, honestly, I'm not saying this because I think I'm hot stuff, far from it :). I just think some men are very very weird in how they express or don't express their feelings :)
Dying laughing.WANG XUAN FAN (to his wife after the birds' nest soup mess): "You drop this disaster on me.…
Oh, I wondered if that comment was because salt was so expensive back then, far more expensive than rice, and he was pointing out how rich she was?
I guess that's where the Chinese idiom originally comes from then - the high price of salt being made into an idiom about experience? And thanks for the info. Very interesting :)
She has ZERO chemistry with Ye Xian. Don't know why you shippers keep pushing this because YOU have the hots for…
Look, I will apologize for my rude response, and I'll tell you it's because we have had SOOOOOO many people with this exact same shipping going on, it's getting old. Especially for those of us who are in the 30s episodes and know what she told him, AND what he's like :)
You came in at the wrong time and got my nasty response. Didn't realize you were also early on in the drama so, to some extent, your comment does make sense.
Sorry, I'll try to control my temper a little better :) And hope you enjoy your shipping :)

So you get to decide in a public forum who responds to your posts and who doesn't? Are you such a snowflake that you can't take some criticism of your patently incorrect post?
If so, you're probably not built for a public forum. Just sayin' :)
What gets me is they keep coming back to waste minutes of their finite time slamming a drama or an ML/FL they hate.
I have hated many dramas. I usually (not always) leave one comment (maybe two if I'm answering someone's response) and then I move on to a drama I DO like.
I just don't get why anyone would waste sometimes many HOURS of their will-eventually-end time on this earth on something they hate? Totally bizarre.

WANG XUAN FAN (to his wife after the birds' nest soup mess): "You drop this disaster on me. Are you God's punishment for me?"
And like I said before and expected, Jinzhao literally mopped the floor with the Wang wife, wrung out her mop, then went back to scrub some more. Hahahaha.
Sure, she was irritating in the first few episodes, but by Ep 29 and 30 she's a fully-fledged pain in the a*s, and mean too :) Although, you might be correct, as the FL's grandmother did say "my friend has always been difficult" :)

I love to learn about other cultures' idioms. There are so many very colorful and cool ones :)
