2 complaints to make. First the production team barely has anyone who is Korean. Second, the subtitles team has…
Thank you for watching this epic drama. If one stayed till the ending credits, one will notice that there is an existence of an Korea production team. Furthermore, there are quite a few Korean lead actors in this production. I really appreciate how you are, like me, a proponent of ensuring that Asian actors are given the opportunity of protrayal and representation in Western media. Appreciate you.
I disagree with the chemistry part, and overall, I like the director. He's done some great work including TBW…
I saw your earlier posts on TBW Part I and liked your positivity. You're correct; @peachblossomgoddess is indeed smart (as other drama viewers on this page). Please be aware: I am not trying to defend her with this reply and in addendum, I did not partake/understand the logist of your exchanges with her, however, I would like to share my own dealings/communiques/exchanges with her.
Similar to you and others, I (including PBG) also believe everyone on mydramalist ought to have a voice to vocalize their subjective opinions on dramas, etc. If you do not agree, then move on to another comment (there are plenty of them).
i.e I have shared with PBG on how I don't particularly care for Yangmi (even though she is a fan, she did not give me any grievance on it; we both moved on quickly since we also feel that everyone has their right to like whomever...), furthermore, I clearly recalled how she didn't care for WYB's wife (Luoyang) with her constant..."Erlang...Erlang" ๐คฃ but I actually like(d) that character. We just shared our own subjective opinions and then quickly transitioned to other topics of discussions as these dramas progresses. I think its great that you are a Dilraba fan (like me), on the flip side, please understand how some of us have our 'favs' and not so 'favs' for our own reasonings sans any further delineation.
Isn't it great that she finally feel the chemistry between the leads as oppose to never feeling it at all? To be candid with you, I am enjoying part II more than Part I and how CY's character finally realized what he lost. ๐
Agreed; I thought I was the only one who feel this way! I know I like you for a reason. ๐คฃ๐
๐๐ป In agreement of bad a** leads and casts for Vincenzo as well as how celebrity treat others! Being human means being fallible and we all make mistakes, however, being another American, I think I also like certain sport stars/celebrities based upon how they treat others (hopefully, with humility or by being humble...i.e. Jeter, Hanks, etc). Can't wait to chat with you on another comment thread. Have a fabulous week. ๐ช๐ผ

Ah, another SJK fan like my friends! ๐คฃ๐คฉ Both of us already dislike her pre-scandal so some of these comments do not pertain to us. lol However, I don't think the commenters discounting it as 'personal' are actually thinking clearly; it's not personal when it involves press conference/work related discomfort (unprofessionalism, etc) albeit his apology towards SH! ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ As for others who indicated that she is the most talented actress?!! ๐คฃ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ Come once a month or during pandemic, I'll show them 'witch-like' behaviors sans acting lol Giggling...*rolling my eyes on most talented actress...Thanks ClaudiaKdrama4ever for your kinship.

Thanks Claudiakdrama4ever! ๐คฃ๐ฅฐ I believe everyone on mydramalist ought to have a voice to vocalize their subjective opinions on dramas, etc. If you do not agree, then move on to another comment (there are plenty of them). It was messed up how her actions affected SH (one of my favs K actresses) during the press conference between her ex and SH!
BTW, I like LSY in Love in the Afternoon! He was great in it.

Please do not get me started on the slap on CR! (I refuse to acknowledge the other party by his name because he is so undeserving). CR actually apologized to Wanda Sykes for the slap taking attention away from hers and other ladies hosting performances and per Wanda, that is how Chris is. It sickened ๐คฎme that he was allowed to stay and received a standing ovation as well as support from others; furthermore, he did not apologize(d) to CR directly during his acceptance speech. In addendum, he actually laughed at the joke and other jokes following. ๐คฎ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ

Aww thanks. Nah, I doubt you're a witch. Thanks for your candor; I'm a strong believer that the truth always suffice (i.e. in regards to people/circumstances/etc). ๐คฃ As someone else says it best.."She isn't acting in some of the roles which she portrays a B*t*h." lol I just wanted to second your opinion because I've felt this way about her for a while (pre-scandal).
I hope he will get more roles in the future because his portrayal of the monk/prince in One&Only was likable and good, furthermore, I like him in Vacation of Love 2 as well. Good luck!
I just noticed that it got extended to 150 eps! WTF??!! I was ready for this to end; sry. ๐คฃ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ I'm so ready for YJK to get what she deserves!
Agree with most of your points. Song Yi's character did mature towards the end, though. When the older brother…
Thanks; please see my reply below. I also agreed with you on LR's character. ..... Agreed with @XINwei below on how LR did mature towards the end (even though her scenes were truncated to a minimal). As previously stated in one of my replies, I enjoyed the scenes between LR and Baili because I believed she would bring forward character development for Baili (which she successfully did).
This drama deserves a higher rating than 8.2. Great acting - HX, VS and WYB fully inhabited their chapters - also…

In addendum to her annoying Erlang calls, I also find at times that she impeded him on missions by being clingy, etc. However, this became understandable since she probably felt insecure (as a 18 yrs old new bride). Kudos to her for putting up with Baili and winning him over with her love/devotion (I personally would have punched him and I like WYB ๐คฃ). She also 'helped' in her own ways.
Finally, I really liked how she got along with other female characters! Tbh, I'm tired of the portrayal of female leads being jealous, manipulative, and cunning women who are out for other female characters! This alone is a good portrayal of female characterization. Like you wrote above, there were many competent and powerful women in this drama and if you rewatch some of her scenes, you might find that she is one of them as well.
Some of my friends here also found that LR to be annoying but I find it healthy to have differences in opinions and still ENJOYED this drama (even with its flaws).
I expected GBZ to be kiiled but not WSY!!! I really don't mind if any of the lead character dies if it fits the…
๐คฃ๐คฃ on your good for nothing brother comment; I can't believe his only punishment was to repent at a temple (with his dad) for 'murder' attempt that resulted to a death! ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ

Most of the casts in this drama were also in the drama, Court Lady.

Also agreed with an open ending for s2.
