The acting is good, after all, this is Bai Lu and Cheng Lei, and both deliver convincing performances. The story itself has so much potential: a deeply traumatized male lead and a young, intelligent female lead trying to navigate a complicated relationship. On paper, it sounds like exactly the kind of drama I would love. But what happened to the production? I honestly don't know what the budget was, but the directing, editing, and overall execution feel surprisingly poor. It's been a long time since I've seen a drama with such a strong cast look this rough. Scenes often feel awkwardly cut together, the pacing is inconsistent, and emotional moments lose their impact because of the strange editing choices. What's frustrating is that the story is actually good. I still want to keep watching because I genuinely care about what happens next.
Sleeping in a hammock inside a burning house” is not a scene anymore, it’s a life philosophy...Will it continue to be this absurd? Should I continue, I'm on ep 6?
Ming Hao he's too sweet for FL, they don't suit me as a couple, I don't feel the chemistry, I immediately felt the age difference, I'll give it a chance but I don't know
My fav Love Like the Galaxy, Blossom, The Prisoner of Beauty, The Double, Perfect Match, Ashes of Love
You can feel their chemistry right from the first meeting. ML treats her really well, and their relationship grows naturally over time. There’s also a feuding families vibe in the background.
Ep 27 is one of my favorites. Chang Yu had every right to be angry, but Xie Zheng was sincere and truly sorry, and I loved his second proposal as his true self. The key moment was when he talked about loving their time in Lin’an that’s what moved her. This show works so well because, even after conflict, the characters communicate honestly.
I stopped watching JOL halfway through, it simply didn’t resonate with me, though I understand it’s a matter of personal taste. In contrast, POJ is exquisitely crafted, every scene feels like a work of art. The direction and screenwriting are truly outstanding and deserving of the highest recognition.
I haven’t experienced such an electrifying feeling from watching a drama in years, this is truly a masterpiece. The script is exceptionally engaging, and the chemistry between the lead characters is remarkable.
Pursuit of Jade is currently in my Top 10 dramas of all time. The casting, cinematography, costumes, even the wigs are 10/10. I totally understand the media buzz around it… I mean, I helped contribute to it myself. 😉
the first episodes look promising, I like the music, but the main actress looks way too young for the main actor. he looks like he could be her father. Sometimes the age difference is not important, but these are two different poles.
Never pay attention to the ratings of dramas in which K-pop idols are involved, as fans often create accounts…
MDL is a friendly place because I have the right to write reviews and reply when it's true. I've never encountered such rude behavior here, and I've been on MDL for almost 10 years. Please come back to TWT."

What does "xj" have to do with it? I'm a drama lover; you don't need to instruct me on how to evaluate dramas. I consistently watch and assess them, and I've noticed many new accounts without a portfolio.
