I feel like people are going to be more critical with this season, but honestly i don't care what anyone says, i ate that shit up! It was so entertaining, the fights were good, Jun Tae was my boy, the friendship, the chemistry, the emotions!! That's all i need to enjoy a show! Was it perfect? No, but it really did the job and i definitely want more! Season 3 when??

They are clearly attracted to each other, even though most of it is subtext. Seul-Gi has a wet dream about Je-Yi…
Well, it's 2025, BUT South Korea is still cautious about anything LGBTQ in mainstream media. It doesn't really matter if it's a GL or not, though. It's a show with queer elements which is not the same thing as a GL which focus more on the romance aspect between two girls. Doesn't change the fact that the characters were attracted to each other... The kissing part in the dream was to show us Seul-gi's sexual awakening and her attraction towards Je-Yi despite being in competition with her. They became somehow friends who gradually got obsessed with each other sexually and romantically. I would have loved for them to confess and kiss, but I think they didn't need to, their actions speak for themselves, loudly throughout the show. Their relationship is the catalyst for the mystery and drama unfolding around them, but it is not the sole focus and is rather used as a way to put into light school rivalry and elitism, and show the consequences. If people were looking for a GL drama with all the romantic tropes, this is not the show for them, I guess.

I agree, the start is great, from episode 9 it's a bit chaotic. The ending is very good, but ..... we all wanted…
Yeah, for me it's about the pacing, i think it's probably a problem of budget, some things must have been cut and the whole thing ended up not as it was supposed to be. Whatever the reason, they still managed to finish the story as well as they could i guess :/ Still liked the show personally!

after queerbaiting 😩, nothing was resolved also!! 6.5 bye!!
They are clearly attracted to each other, even though most of it is subtext. Seul-Gi has a wet dream about Je-Yi and that only proves that she is sexually attracted to her. Je-YI did and said a lot of things that show how she loves Seul-Gi. They don't even have to say anything, the tension is there and very much on purpose (I think the director did a great job with that). It's a mystery show with LGBT themes, it's not going to focus only on the queer aspect. I would say it's not a GL genre, it's just another Korean show which this time has a queer leaning and it's not a bad thing, it's progress. I hope they'll make more shows in this aspect and will be more free in their representation in the future!

Title Friendly Rivalry Spoiler
This show was nicely done and very creative in its direction. The story while sometimes difficult to understand because of the automatic subtitles was pretty addictive, I always came back for more. One of the reasons to that was especially the relationship between Seul-Gi and Je-Yi, their chemistry was off the charts and credible. I wish they went a little further with the LGBTQ themes, that it was more explicit (not necessarily kissing but through dialogues and such), though I think that the chemistry and subtext were so strong that we all know they were heads over heels anyway. I'm not sure there will be a season 2, but even if they don't make another season, it's safe to say that Seul-Gi and Je-Yi found each other and they'll never let go of each other again; they belong together and that's beautiful. The only criticism I can make is the pacing of the episodes, it could have been handled a little better at times, but it's a solid K-drama with good mystery and acting, so I give it a 8,5/10!
