This drama is just way too short for the plot and emotional complexity that they're going for. I feel bad because I genuinely feel like this could be really good if they actually had enough time to make the leads like each other in the middle before they get back to the drama. This feels very rushed and it's a shame. This is actually visually a very pretty drama to watch.
This was kinda exhausting to watch. I LOVED this so much in the beginning but from the halfway point forward it all just started feeling so repetitive while still hella confusing. I'm so confused about some of these unanswered questions that I don't even care about the ending. In the beginning I was like " wow these are the prettiest costume designs ever and wow the chemistry is amazing" After the last episode, I feel like I'm mainly gonna remember this drama from the blood-spitting. It was ridiculous.
this is starting to piss me off too much why tf are the kids insisting on never telling the mom??????? I'd rather die than let my mom stay with a shit husband who cheats on her. How selfish can you be to only care about avoiding family drama? It's not like the parents have had a loving relationship in a long time. The husband is okay with living a double life but having a divorce is too much because he doesn't want anyone else to have her.
Okay I wasn't really expecting an accident like that but okayy. I'm so far enjoying this a lot but actually kinda worried how drastically different the main plot will be from these first episodes.
I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting but this was a really good first episode. So filled with plot literally from birth to adulthood but somehow I don't feel like anything was rushed. I feel like I know the main characters' background stories just from the first episode. I also just realized that that was a 1h 20min episode. Like wow I did not realize it was that long because I didn't get bored for a second. Very interesting to see how this drama goes. I can't help but feel bad for Kang Ho. I hate how some parents think that they can just live through their child. I understand wanting the best for them but this is just wrong. You can't act like a child is gonna grow up with a normal set of values and be mentally healthy if you're not gonna let them have a day off from studying. Ironic how she only cared about him becoming wealthy and powerful but didn't care about teaching him any values.
there is too much drama to even care at this point I've stopped believing that anyone who died is actually even dead so I can't even cry because it doesn't feel final yk? There is still 12 episodes left and I refuse to believe anyone would write a drama where most of the main cast is dead before the final episodes.
Is it just me or is anyone else starting to have a difficult time watching this drama :'D I want to love this but the lack of communication and misunderstandings is wild. They also can't chill with a plotline for 2 seconds before throwing another problem in there. I've never seen so many characters spitting blood in one episode ps. Can someone kill Ye Bingchang bc I'm very very tired of seeing her snake ass.
I'm only watching this because I wish my mom had a chance to change her life like that. I usually try to avoid hospital-related dramas but I just need Jung Sook to have the best ending possible. She deserves to end up with Roy. I'm rating this a negative 1000 if she gets back with the husband at the end after he has some character development moment. Like he is absolutely shit and there is no redemption for that.
I can't really explain but this feels simultaneously like an unrealistic comedy while still somehow managing to make me sad and comforted. Maybe it's just my mental health deteriorating.
Wow it's been a long time since I've actually had to wait for fan translations. Pretty wild. Huge shoutout to all translators though. Y'all are amazing and we need you guys :') I hope someone is working on this drama.
I wasn't really feeling historical dramas rn but I just had to watch this for Woo Dohwan. I've missed him so so so much. Binged watched ep 1-6 in about 2 days and this drama is fairly interesting. Doesn't really feel groundbreaking, but I like the background stories of the lead characters. In the beginning, I was a bit worried because Han Soo's character felt so insanely ambiguous but now knowing his backstory really helps. I feel more connected to him in a way. I don't really see this drama having a sad ending though. There is way too much comedy for the writers to pull a major character death or anything like that at the end.
I wish there was more. The second couple deserved more screen time. I hope they make a spin-off for them. Overall a nice drama with a cohesive plot and good acting. Definitely still has a lot of room for improvement but I'm proud of how far kbls have come. This could have been made into a 12 episode drama easily if they had more of the side couples development.
A bit disappointing to be honest. 20 episodes could have been used more efficiently because at some point I started to feel like the rest was just too predictable. The ending felt very anticlimactic and rushed while some middle episodes felt too heavy and lacked light moments. Right from the first episodes, it felt too obvious that they forced those few romantic moments in there so they could have that cliche memory montage at some point. And I was right lol.

side profile looks so familiar but I don't know and it's driving me crazy :'D
