generally her cope mechanism is ridiculous, she cover her trauma with bitching MF and her entire family instead go to therapist or psychiatrist. She has a depression so as a grown up it is normal to ask for help, but I can blame Korean society for that behaviour, because apparently physical abuse for them is also something funny and hilarious.

I like actress who plays MF, I like her previous roles and she seems decent, so I can separate real person from fictional character. I believe this is not a actress fouls that MF is so irrational, but writers. Unfortunately, Korean society is still strong patriarchal so it looks like for them it’s hard to see differences between women and little girls, otherwise here MF is more mature ( i am not talking only about age) so she is more likeable for me.

here MF is not so annoying and childish like in Love next door, I absolutely adore actress, but I can’t understand why females are portrayed as a brainless creatures in kdramas.

i have already replied to you on another comment, but completely agree! it seems like you cannot criticise LND, because everyone loves it so any little thoughts about it would make people furious. however, trope childhood friends to lovers sucks, don’t change my mind.

omg! absolutely agree, I just realised the problem I have with dramas is that stupid trope childhood friends to lovers. I have “welcome..”, because MF was written as a brainless idiot and now with “love next door” MF isn’t better and they are just yelling at each other as pretending they don’t have feelings for each other, oh come on give me a break! I start watching “no gain, no love” and seems a little bit better, but we will see. Also, I think because kdramas have become so popular recently that writers can serve absolutely BS and people would love that anyway.

agree, I like dynamic between mains here, in love next door I feel like they are just yelling at each other constantly, I got it this is what writers did, but it has been boring already.
