just finished watching Red Envelope... and wow. It really got me. I went in not knowing what to expect, just hoping it would be worth the wait and honestly, it was more than that. It was everything.
As a BKPP fan, I felt so satisfied. Even if they took their time with it, they truly served. The chemistry, the emotion, the tension, the way they carried the story , you could tell they gave it their all. And I felt it in every scene.
The movie had me laughing so many times. It was full of funny, silly moments that made it easy to watch and fall in love with the characters again. But beneath all that, it carried so much emotion. There were moments that just… hit. Quietly but powerfully.
One of the things I really appreciated was how they didn’t give us false hope. They didn’t force a happy ending just to make it sweet , they gave us something real. It was bittersweet, but it made sense. It felt honest. And I respect that.

I started this drama with zero expectations,just wanted to add another title to my completed list. At first, it seemed promising, but the deeper I got into it, the more disappointed I became.
What really put me off were the excessive intimate scenes. I’m not someone who enjoys NC content unless it actually adds emotional depth to the story and here, it just felt overwhelming and unnecessary. I’d already been spoiled quite a bit, so I knew what was coming, and honestly, that made it harder to stay engaged.
The plot didn’t feel compelling to me. I didn’t find the leads particularly attractive, and some scenes were just straight-up cringe and secondhand embarrassing. I kept waiting for it to get better, but it never quite did.
It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve seen, but definitely not something I connected with. Final rating: 7/10 ,mostly for the decent start and a few good moments here and there.

I loved how San and Xiaowen slowly got to understand each other. From hating each other to feeling like family ,it was such a beautiful journey. I loved how he refused her uncle's money. That moment really stood out to me. It showed that love doesn’t come with a price tag.
Another thing I liked was how his friends didn’t hesitate to adopt Xiaowen, and how she felt safe with him. His father slowly accepting her as a granddaughter, even though they weren’t blood-related, was so touching. And the way he helped his ex I don’t know if I could’ve done that if I were in his place.
When her watch broke or stopped working, he tried so hard to fix it so she could hear her grandmother's voice again. And I absolutely adored the moment when she said, "I know that you’re lying to me and I’ll never see my grandmother again… but I’m not afraid, because I have Dad." 😭 That scene ruined me in the best way.
When her mother showed up out of nowhere, I really wanted her to be selfish and abandon her child. I know this might sound wrong, but I couldn’t help it. I didn’t want Xiaowen to be taken away. But when I heard her side of the story, I truly felt bad for her.
I had a feeling San would be a good dad. He looked like a gangster, and for some reason my brain just automatically thinks gangsters make great dads 😭.
And the worst part , he lost Xiaowen and his dad at the same time. What a misery.
But the farewell he gave to both of them… it was the most beautiful farewell I’ve ever seen.
Best ending. Story? Acting? Cast? Emotions? All 10/10.

It was less about suspense and more about watching his emotional spiral.
I won’t lie. it’s not some masterpiece or anything. It was just okay. But if you like the actor as much as I do, it’s still worth a shot. Just don’t go in expecting something super intense or fast-paced.
