Why are people saying he died? I haven't seen the full scene as it happened yet so correct me if I'm wrong about…
People assume. From my point of view, like you said, since he saw dead people telling him to go back to his alive people, that is a huge indicator of him not being dead. It would not be the first drama where we do not see people even though we know they are alive. So I guess, people who wants a sad ending will believe he's dead, and those who wants a happy ending will believe he made it out alive. Hence, we clearly have an open ending. If there is a "debate" about the ending because it feels unclear, then it's an open one.
Aahh wtf!? I was hoping for a happy ending and they had to kill everyone off. I feel like it's an open ending…
Same, it gives off open ending. If they hadn't shown Qing Yi seeing his dead brothers telling him to go back to Susu and Le'an, I would have believed he died. But for my peace of mind, I'll assume it is his turn to get back at Susu. Just like he thought she was dead but still waited for her to come back and she did, I'll assume she will think he died but he will be saved, take year to recover before coming back to his family. It may sound far-fetched but I don't care. It's my only way to have closure from this drama, lol.
OMG, someone once said Murong Mother was hating on Murong Qing Yi probably because he must look like his dad and she was projecting her hatred for her husband who didn't love her onto him and we can now see it in ep 28 it is true!
Guys i really wanna know is this drama actually that bad because honestly this was one of those dramas which i…
I suggest you watch some episodes and make your own opinion. I usually also check the rating before watching a show to know what I'm getting myself into but with this drama, the hate was the main thing that was overdo. Like all Republican Era drama, it's not for everyone, either you like it or dislike it, there is no in-between. Personnally, it's the first Republican era drama I'm able to finish, I've dropped all the other I tried. The show give dramatic soap opera like vibes. Like the story and the trailer promised, we get toxic love and red flags everywhere. We also get complex characters we can't just categorised as good or bad. The acting is great but the story is a mess, and actually it's that last part that either keeps you going or makes you drop the show. The drama is not great but it's definitely not that bad at all. I wouldn't especially recommand it as it's not in my top of the year but I will never stop someone from watching it either because I really enjoyed watching it and sharing my feelings about it on this page, as well as reading other people who enjoyed the show comments. I'm glad have been able to see the leads play such characters and show me another side of their acting. My personal rating for it is 7.5/10.
I'm scared. 🫣 Everybody talking about Republican Era dramas don't have happy ending, a sad ending or even an open one would not be bad... Pleaaaase! I want a happy ending! After all their suffering, they need to live together raising their son while being the parents they did not get to experience (whether it be because the parents died early or because they just never had good parents). I also feel like if one of them die, the other will just choose to be a single parent and never be with anyone again, because they are that infatuated with each other. Now y'all got me crossing my fingers 🤞🤞🤞
I just finished tonight's episode and I seem to see people not getting both pov's and just prefer being one sided,…
You summed it all up so well. ☺️ When you said: " everyone are suffering and there's no right or wrong with such characters who lived in abused and torment their whole lives", you just nailed it.
She had gone through the sufferings then it's all the more reason she should avoid giving others trauma and sufferings...she…
Lool they both overdoing it. The title is very well found. 🤣 But she's not giving trauma on purpose, it’s like a side effect of having her in your life. Buuut she also gave him the only joy and solace he ever known in his life. She's just too busy avenging her loved ones to do so currently xD
We got presented the Crown Prince as the villain but to me the real villain is the King. Because what do you mean, you know you're useless son is always up to no good but you always let him be because he's the one you appointed as crown prince. Instead of putting someone who actually fits the role of becoming the next ruler, you just use your daughter you didn't care about to be the brain of fixing everything you let go rotten in the country starting by your useless son and the corrupt nobles? Is it a joke? I don't want the King to die because then the crown prince would become king but I hope he will be badly sick for a long time.
Ren Susu POV : When Qingyi asked the boss of Lanxin (there's a barrier, so he doesn't know it's Susu) if she's…
Loool your POV 🤣 feel you though. Hmm, I never thought about Li Boze POV that way. His character mainly bothered me from the beginning because he always acts oblivious to how the Li and the Murong are actually bad families and parents. He seemed to think Murong Qing Yi overdo it all and if he was just nicer to their parents he would be as loved as he, Li Boze, is. When he, Li Boze, just didn't experience one hundredth of the suffering MRQY went through by their psycho parents. And even as a cop, he has issue accepting he's not that powerful and the corruption of the rich because his families are a part of the problem and always wonder why people try to get revenge themselves instead of going to the police, to him. But all along he was living in his "our situation is not that bad" bubble because he wanted to look trustworthy and reliable to whom he considered his people? You gave me a new perpective about him, I appreciate. ^-^ (still not fond of his character but I understand better some of his actions now)
A little big rant but why so many people are so harsh with Ren Susu as if she's the one who ruined Murong Qing Yi? The girl is also broken because of all the different type of abuse she went through and saw since her childhood. I'm not playing any "who had it worse olympics". I'll say we can easily feel more sympathy for MRQY because we've seen the abuse he went and still going through even as an adult compared to the few flashback of RSS. But she's also carrying heavy trauma. I feel like they're the same type of broken, which is why they got into each other and understand each other this much, to the point of being able to kill for the other at the risk of their own life.
I do get that she's frustrating with her lack of communication and thinking keeping him in the dark will be better for him. But even on such points, they are the same, always saying the opposite of what they mean to the people they love even if it hurts them. People really can't see she's torn between running away with MRQY and getting out of his life because she feels like she ruined it and everybody keeps on telling her so, just like they say to MRQY he's to blame for any wrong thing happening in the world? She's always on a suicidal mission to avenge her people and he's always almost getting kill trying to be involved in her business. She doesn't want him dead nor him having to deal with her death. She doesn't want to die but always put everything on the line because of how powerful is her opponent. The only reason she stopped suicidal missions is motherhood.
After escaping an abusive orphanage, the girl was an art student. She's quite not the archetype of a scheming girl so good revenge can't be her forte. No offense but she's surrounded by girls not smarter than her either so of course her plans always fail. Like, at what point do you think you can kill an evil marshall with a hairpin in the middle of the street? Ugh. Add to that the other rich families and their dirty hands trying to stop you because it's not good for their business. Was it the right move to not let him know about their baby? No, I don't think so but I do understand where she's coming from. If you felt like you were the worst thing that ever happened to the personne you love the most and said person now hate you more than ever, you would also let them go. And you wouldn't risk having your child being raised in his daddy abusive household either.
I'm not saying "she's above criticism, she's a great woman and a well-written female lead", no she's not, lol. She's too reckless and not as smart as she believes she is. But I don't think it justifies RSS-bashing...

Your summary killed me, XD 🤣🤣🤣
