I feel so bad for the crown princess. I hope she can get a divorce and leave the palace. I have no sympathy for the crown prince. He chose to sleep with his mistress on the night he was supposed to be with the crown princess. No matter how bad things were between them, that was very disrespectful. And then when the book came out he only worries about the mistress. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thank goodness she had sympathy for the princess and left. I actually feel bad for the king, his kids are a mess. I hope they don’t force them to reconcile. He does not deserve the princess. I wish they would just concentrate the story on the female lead and male lead. I am still worried the male lead is hiding something. But with only 2 episodes to go, I don’t feel there is time to dive into that. Oh well, how will this end?

So the Crown Princess gave the story to the Grand Princess to publish as the latest volume. 😢 Very sad. I just finished the 7th episode. I am glad the commoner girl told the prince she did not want to live in the palace. This may be petty of me , but I didn’t want him to just bring her into the palace and live happily. I was hoping the prince and princess could have worked things out, but once he slept with the commoner I changed my mind. I hope he regrets not trying to work things out with the princess because if she divorces him he will still have to remarry someone he may not love and produce an heir. At least with the princess there could have been a decent relationship if they would have figured things out. I hope the princess can get a happy ending. Sorry but I don’t really care about the prince. On to episode 8 now.

Oh that would be great. I just hope she doesn’t take her own life to escape all the pain. That would be tragic. 😢

I see your point. Just very sad that he was able to find help and feel better while she is trapped and hurting. The hardest scene for me was near the end when they saw each other and he looked happy and just disregarded her . She was truly alone in that moment. 😢

I feel they are both flawed characters and both made mistakes and could have communicated better. Marriage is hard work and not for the faint of heart. In my opinion (this is just my opinion) he gave up too quickly. She is like a trapped bird in a cage. He leaves the palace easily and finds comfort and a companion. She could not even go to her closest friend’s funeral (couldn’t cross that bridge ). That doesn’t seem fair. It would have been nice if the writers would have had the prince take her out to fly a kite , just anything to cheer her up. It’s just sad to me how their story is going so far. I don’t think they can repair it now that he crossed that line and slept with someone else. I am curious how their story will end.

The more I think about the prince and princess’s story it makes me so sad. I feel like she saw their physical relationship as a duty/ a responsibility to produce an heir. So there was so much pressure and no enjoyment. You could see the last time they were having sex that the prince was into it until she stopped him. There was no romance just let’s get this done. She may have hurt his feelings by what she said to him, but if he would have saw past what she said and saw how she was hurting maybe they could have worked through it. Reassure her that she is the only woman he wants and let’s take the pressure off and go outside the palace to de stress. That’s what he did - he left the palace to relax. Why does he not see that she could use that too? I see him as being selfish. He got what he needed outside the palace and then some. He really must be clueless to not notice that she is hurting and not happy. I don’t think he ever truly cared for her. Excuse my rant. I just can’t get over how sad it is. I hope he comes to realize how she is hurting and is so depressed before it’s too late. Not sure these two can work things out now. In my opinion he crossed a line. I wish the princess could run away. 😢💔 With only 4 more episodes, it worries me how these two will end.

Yes they just needed to open up to each other , listen to each other and understand what they both feel and are going through. Their relationship could have been a lesson on how to make a marriage work. He could have helped her heal, it could have been beautiful. He has disappointed me. He gave up so easily on her. For me it feels like he cheated because the commoner is not a concubine just a woman outside the palace. The time he spent with the commoner just relaxing and having fun with her, why not try that with your wife. She looks like she could use some time outside the palace having fun. Just very sad, I am disappointed. 😢 Marriage is work, hard work. 💔

I just finished watching episode 5 and this is a little darker than I expected. (No criticism, just not what I expected) I am sad about the prince and princess storyline. I was hoping they could work things out. But from the comments it looks like he is going to sleep with the commoner. Not what I wanted. 😢 How can their relationship come back from this? I will probably skip their story. I know the princess pushed him away, but it would still hurt to find out he slept with another woman. I know she is depressed, but I wonder if she really thought it through if he slept with someone else how she would feel about that. Some times we think we know what we want but when we get it we regret it. Will she regret telling him to go to another woman? I guess we will see. (Not a royal romance, more like a royal tragedy) 😢

Wow! That’s sad to hear. I haven’t watched today’s episodes. I may have to skip their scenes. I don’t like this story line. I’m was hoping they would work things out as a couple.

You should definitely watch the original. It is one of my all time favorites. And the romantic scenes in the Korean version get a little spicy. It’s so romantic. I am curious how this version will be. 🥰

Yeah I agree. Because she was 19 so she did not change as much. He was 15 so he would change a lot. But still enjoying it. ❤️

I just finished episode 2 and I love where this is going. 🥰 I love the role reversals of him trying on clothes for her. So funny that she thought she was going to try on clothes like in most romcoms. “So this is not where this is going” 😂🤣😂 She has a great sense of humor. Then her friend caught the second lead instead of the other way around. Love how they are changing things up. Also I love how the female lead stands up for herself. Thank you writers for giving us a well written female lead. ❤️ I also love their chemistry, it is starting to get better. Also funny he mentioned she was not Cinderella. And it’s refreshing that she doesn’t want to be Cinderella either. This is really going to be a fun romantic comedy. ❤️❤️❤️

I finished the first episode and this looks like it will be a fun romcom. 🥰

I was just able to finish episode 12. 🥰 This will be on my list of favorites. ❤️ They were such a great couple with amazing chemistry. Only thing missing for me was them to get engaged at the end. But I still loved it. ❤️

I am not convinced the male lead has pure intentions. He is doing nice things for her and wants to marry her. But why? What is his reasoning? I thought maybe he was falling in love with her, but then everything he said after their flying adventure made me confused. She wants to be in love with her husband and he was talking about a friendship and making an agreement. So why is he persistent about marrying her? After that conversation my opinion changed about him. I may be in the minority, but I hope she ends up with someone that loves her, who ever that is. Maybe if the male lead sees other men pursuing her, he will get jealous and realize he does love her. I just can’t figure him out yet.

I just finished episode 10. It was a good episode but a little hard to watch. My father passed away a few days ago. 😭💔 He was and always will be my hero. My heart is breaking, but the romance of the lead couple has been a nice distraction. On to episode 11 .

Ooh, I don’t know what to think about this. His mother is so annoying and can’t see her own faults. The town’s people are annoying as well. Episode 9 looks like it will be a mess. Oh well, I will still hang in there to see how this ends.

The love scene in episode 8 was weird and underwhelming. Hopefully with six more episodes to go there will be more sparks between them.
