Out of all the bad parents I’ve seen in GL dramas, Ran’s mom is definitely a top 3 contender. (along with the mom from poisonous love, and the Mom from dangerous queen IMO) There is no way in hell you can give her a redemption arc at this point.
When the show started I really thought they would encounter multiple different problems both outside the home and inside while rediscovering their love and saving their marriage, but it looks like the crazy mother is the only real issue here.
Seeing as there’s 3 episodes left; I take it next week is gonna be the separation episode, episode 11’s gonna be the sad depressing episode, finally the finale.
Finally found a way to watch this show. I been hooked on LMSY’s chemistry since I saw Affair, (which is one of my top five GL shows) and this pairing really can do it all. This romcom was really something I needed after I finished Enemies with Benefits, and it was a nice break from all the drama, action, and podcasting I’ve been watching lately.
I’m giving it a 9/10, I’m knocking off half a point because the final episode fell flatter than the thin crust pizza I had earlier this week which sucked.
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would have. For me, this show didn’t start picking up steam until the fourth episode. And WTF was with that long strand of neck hair.
The show was definitely a fun journey. I’ll add my two cents in a spoiler comment below.
First things first, I still can’t get over the fact that a robot and a human have this kind of relationship. I’ve seen it before in cartoons like Futurama and some other shows I’m too lazy to name or try to remember, but this show knocked it up another notch probably because it’s live action.
I felt kind of bad for Irene but at least she knew how to let go and not seeing her after the second act kinda eased how bad I felt for her a little bit.
I’m not a fan of time travel in shows because of the many paradoxes it can create. But at least Ran’s journey after the events of “love beyond dreams“ didn’t create any paradox or alternate timeline for the show. I guess watching “Reverse 4 You” and “Reverse With Me” kind of made it easier to cope if a situation like that would’ve happened.
I low-key wonder how the new and improved A382 model would have fared for the client/that guy with the comatose daughter.
The final scene was a gut punch. I’ll just end it there.
I’m excited for the finale tomorrow, but I hate the fact that I can’t use social media all day as to avoid spoilers. And Wednesday is my long day at work.
Nice, soft, easy-going, and not too complicated. I’m usually going back-and-forth between GL Thai series and these K GL web series so it’s a nice change of pace for me.
I started this show the day after I finished reverse 4 you. I enjoyed both shows equally but I couldn’t stand the constant flashbacks in the majority of the episodes even though they just showed them and the previous act/episode. I ended up fast forwarding through them and I was able to finish this a lot quicker. Even though I don’t like the concept of time travel and the paradoxes it can create this show didn’t do too much of that.
I enjoyed it though so I’m gonna give this a 7.9/10. I’m docking a 10th of a point because of the flashbacks I mentioned earlier; probably because I binge watched this.
I really thought we were done with his mother-in-law thing, I was thinking maybe it would only be a three or four episode story arc, or she would pop up every three or two episodes and cause a problem, but it looks like it’s gonna drag to the final episode. (yes, I’ll admit I didn’t read the novel or a summary of it.)
The next episode looks like tensions finally come to blows; to a degree. (Even though it’s an obvious set up) I hope eventually Ran punches out that Utt guy again.
Oh and I’ve been meaning to ask: it’s obvious her name is Ran but why do subtitles always spell it out as Runch?
I’ve lost count of how many GL‘s I’ve been binging the past couple of months but this definitely was one of the better ones. I put this one off because I’m not a fan of time travel and a lot of the paradoxes it can create. But this one made sense because she could only turn back 10 minutes and she can’t use it at will.
I should consider myself lucky since I’m two years late to the show but at least I was able to watch all of it in a day 8/10.

Before I forget, I just want to say the music video for the end credits song “Red Kiss” feels like a early 2000s J-Lo music video lol

The mushroom haircut on the aunt is really getting on my nerves. And the preview for episode 6 really makes me hate her.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a slow burn like this, I could count 23.5 but that was a 12 episode series and this is an 8 ep. series.
