Actually you CAN argue that the character is cookie cutter as in lots of dramas the FL can be immature and using high pitch voice. I think that’s what people find annoying.
Especially come off a year in where there have been dramas with not necessarily perfect FL but they are less immature.

I have a soft spot for sml (?). I know he’s been a bit annoying with his self righteousness but he’s starting to see the harsh realities of life. He just wants the FL to be better than them.
He’s also not pathetic as he can fight for himself and does things to get people punished for their wrongdoing and doesn’t run off to people to sort out his issues for him.
He reminds me of Peeta in the Hunger Games. He could be the FL’s ray of sunshine to her burning Fire.
Right now it’s hard to tell who she’ll end up with since they have equal time. I hope they do something different though and let her be happy with him.

This their way of showing feminism.
It also kind of works in this story as she doesn’t want to rely on people that can disappoint her in the future whilst only accepting help and comfort from the person she trusts the most, Luo Shenyaun.
