I wasn't expecting a happy ending nor for half of the players to survive or something, I even kind of guessed what would happen with Gihun at the end, but for the life of me that I can't understand why they would make the whole "Junho searching for the island" a thing if nothing was going to come out of it. It's like the screenwritters needed more characters in order to fill the 60 min episodes and just went with him and his side of the story. The actors did justice to their characters, but the script wasn't on par with them nor with season 1.
