Heejin and Yongkyu having the same mbti makes so much sense. They even picked similar clothes back in ep 1. Those full sleeves tattoos cracking those eggs so effortlessly, I fell slightly in love. They are both my type 😭 And Sujin is right after, she really grew on me

I'm really rooting for Heejin and Hyeyeon, Heejin is really into her 😭 And I know Seungho says he doesn't like tattoos but they (Seungho and Yongkyu) seemed more into each other than his interactions with Jinwoo.

Pretty much accurate rendering of how these marriages span out with vicious MILs, the unrelenting wives, the passive partner who disengages and allows these cycles while the fathers in law observe from a distance. Its a common saying in my country that the happiest marriages are with an orphan.

A divorce would be the best for them the way I see it and although it will not bring happiness but it will bring peace and in the long run it may be for the best. There has to be a lot of growth before I can even reconsider this but we have 12 eps for that!

Gosh this actually open with their divorce and not the marriage. The way it escalated in the first five minutes was shocking. This is a different kind of show. It opens with impending divorce looming over Runch and Neen. Runch's mother is a Karen but Neen, isn't playing nice either. Her actions at the mall were uncalled for

Both women are fighting over the same thing, that the other stole Runch but neither are particularly concerned about Runch's well being, how she shrinks into herself. She is passive and hapless but the show doesn't support her either; the consequences of her lack of assertiveness has allowed poison into her family, her relationship with her wife and her workplace too.

The price of time and the blood that revenge demands. This show was a whirlwind that takes you through two lifetimes. A cryptic message and a story of unrequited love is what brings back Rann to Thailand, only in place of Lene's warm welcoming smile she finds a desolate funeral. A sleight of time takes her back five years where she finds Lene fighting her own demons and revenge demands a price that has to be paid.

This show was everything, the best gl of the year perhaps. There are all kinds of love but theirs is one which perseveres when everything in the world falls away. In the end they are the only ones left for each other. The darker aspects of Lene's life and how hard she fights to keep some of the light around her from both Rann, Peem and the memory of her mother made this a high stakes thriller. Well-written and most importantly well placed given that this is only 7 episodes. Also the way Lene looks at Rann, like she's about to devour her whole and then proceeds to do exactly that? 9/10

I need to see them in some sort of historical. If only only you had been the same script in a historical setting of a bodyguard and her princess

Try watching "My Fairy Ghost" if you haven't already. The cover seems silly, the plot fun but it's actually a cryer lol

For shows we often like to poke at the potholes and I feel there are certain things here and there and convenient plot points but in the case of Love Beyond Dreams I want them to use as many plot holes as necessary to just let the three of them live because we've seen what happens otherwise and please let that not happen

Before discovering gl i just read a lot but could never get into the shows itself. I will not be watching 65792 straight couples for that fifteen minute (in total) appearance of a sapphic one! And a lot of stuff on yt was behind the paywall which came to thousands in our currency so just never got into it

And yes this! The HEA is assured in every show Asian romcom and, so as to not be deductive, it is also that for most western shows i think? but just not for the extremely side sapphic couples. AO3 has been a fabulous reserve for sapphic stuff but most of the shows aren't even canonically lesbian or end up together

I would too! Honestly if it weren't for the thai we would still have little to no full length lesbian shows, and while gl isn't everybody's thing, it's absolutely my favourite.
