That's why LSS is willing to be with him and he decided to sacrificed himself because he finally got what is true love is all about. He finally understand all LSS as YXW's actions in the past.

I do think they never meant to be together happily ever after due to the baggage from each side that make the relationship incredibly toxic. But to say she never loves him isn't totally true either. She does love him BUT not enough and obviously not as much as him.
